25 years ago dyan ako sa Iloilo, I paid 700 pesos para makaakyat ng stage to watch the full show of Dinagyang. It was a wonderful experience.😊

Look ever since i was in high school and im now 60 years old, the festival has always been a competition. If you want to be comfortable, sitted,shaded, then you buy a ticket for the stage. If you want to watch it for free then you watch it by the street area. Which means you have to stand under the heat of the sun. The cost of putting up a tribe for the performance cost more than 1 million for each tribe. If a tribe does not have any sponsors, it will be a challenge to even be a participant. This is where the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation comes in. They subsidise the costs for these tribes who do not or have limited sponsors. So for some of you saying it should be free because your LGU does that then you may want to revisit your local government units and ask whether all LGUs across the country should have the same treatment for all festivals. As far as i know LGUs are independent of each other.

We bought tickets for stage no. 4. There were still a lot of available tickets in this stage in Mapa Street. Maybe because the performance area is small unlike the 3 other judging areas where the performance area is bigger which is why tickets here were fully sold. The 3Thou and 4 Thou ticket costs are for 2 days which includes Kasadyahan and Dinagyang.The tickets can only be bought at designated hotels. We bought ours at Richmonde Hotel. If you buy your tickets early you can choose your seats.
It includes water and merienda.Sorry to hear you were not able to see the performance. There are vloggers like you too but they bought tickets. Unfortunately they don't have free passes for You tube vloggers. Maybe next year. You may want to include it in your budget.

As far as I know meron talaga bayad if you want to be in the judging areas/stage. If you want you can still see the warriors up close when they do their street dance.

It would be nice if you manage to get a media pass since your a vlogger and I think the city government grant that to such people though im not sure if you need to purchase it as well. I thought you know that you need to buy a ticket so you can watch their performances but I guess im wrong. I’ve been looking forward for Kuya Alp to vlog the festival that it seems he didn’t able to do so as well. Well, better luck next time.

No media and vloggers are different. No free pass for vloggers. They have to buy tickets too.
@@april2four Indi tuod. They did give free pass to vloggers that they invited to the event like Small Laude. Maybe it's high time pakilala ka Eunice Kay Mayor Treñas para next year you get invited as a vloggers and they will give you a free pass.

Not true. If you are in the street libre but on stage there are tickets. Dont accuse the organizers without receipts.

To be honest, hindi ko type ang Dinagyang, Ati-Atihan, at related festivals. Medyo racist yung blackface na ginagawa. Ang laki ng gastos, ang laki ng kita (may 3000 na na ticket?) di naman nakikinabang ang mga katutubong Ati. Hindi sya authentic when compared to REAL ethnic festivals like Kadayawan, Kaamulan, Lanzones, Panagbenga, etc.
