Great video. Inspiring. I'm 73 and have a melroe 500. I'm in th process of making my sheaves manual instead of hydraulic. Pretty simple the way im going to do it. Will be posting a video on TH-cam in about a week. Will post under ' Melroe sheave '.
Just bought one of those. BC 610 It works but engine feels a bit weak. And it needs a look at the steering. The sticks have a lot of play and perhaps the steering clutch needs adjusting or be changed. Keep UR fingers crossed for me. Have always wanted a machine like this but never had one :)
Is just stupid here we are working on these old hydraulic clutch systems and this is the crap they are selling people in there brand new cars I have a 610 bobcat my variable clutch or trany what ever you want to call it but she still works thumbs up to a true diehard haywire mechanic we are a dying breed
If u look for an old swather with one of those engines it will have the same shiv I do have 1 if I can find it if u are interested will cost just the postage I'm pretty sure u should find 1 versatile swather s for sure had them good luck ...

Awesome I will definitely check it out!!
Can’t understand why some company doesn’t make a run of the pulleys and gear boxes. Tons of people looking for them. Nice job by the way. Impressive.
As an owner of a Case 1530b skid steer with the similar variable speed ...I couldn't agree with you more .

That was really fun to watch! I am a fan of ingenuity and you did a great job!
Thank you much appreciated

I did the same. Grade 8 bolt set shiv at about 50% mid speed it's fast enough for what I do.
