This is the first time I'm seeing Imperial from the inside eventhough I'm in Imperial. I'm doing my first year online and it sucks. Can't wait to physically be there someday lol. Anyways thank you for this video! Loved it
That actually sucks you know! The pandemic has completely destroyed freshers for you guys. I hope in year 2 you get to live as first years. Thank you for your comment :)
Congrats on your offer! It's so annoying open days got cancelled - makes it hard to know if you like the campus vibes or not. Glad the video could give you an insight into the campus though!
This video is amazing as it clearly shows the environment inside the Imperial College campus. Thanks for sharing! I am a Chinese senior high student who will go to university in the UK in 2023. I actually went to Imperial College in August 2019 for programming lessons by FireTech during the summer camp and I am really like it. By the way, I also had a picnic on the lawn. Meanwhile, we went through the same entrance as described at the beginning of this video.
I’m a parent watching lol. My son has just started as a fresher doing maths so I wanted to see what the main campus looked like. He lives at Woodward and seems happy so far
Super !very informative ,clear description about the Imperial University . Similarly can You post an video on imperial colg cafeteria &their weekdays offer ,so that It will be useful & helpful for the 1st year students.
Hey Dev, I have my Imperial interview coming up and I'm really stressed about it and the consequent steps in the admission process. It'd be great if I could talk to you about your experience :)
Believe it or not, back in 2011 Ethos was free... You just had to pay a 30 quid induction fee when you arrived on campus during freshers and that was it !
Congrats man that's amazing! Sorry, it's just I'm unaware of what the filming rights are in uni buildings so I only filmed publically accessible places
Thank you for this video! I was wondering if you know much about the applied medical biosciences course? The description on the website is really vague haha, but I got an offer from imperial last week!!! 😬🎉😅
Wooo congrats on the offer!! Unfortunately I'm not too sure about what the degree involves 😅 I'll try and see if I can find someone who takes the course
I will finish school next year and hear is my dream place but don't nor how to attend the college I am from Gambia and thanks for the video we loved it an am very ready to attend there next year please tell me the tips needed please ❣️❣️
Is it really hard to get into mechanical engineering as I want to apply for the course in imperial. Still in year 12 but still curious to ask about it.
Hey, I think the physics course at Imperial is one of the best in the country but it is very challenging none the less! Unfortunately I can't really compare to st Andrews as I don't know much about the place
@@DoctorDevify how long is next time?? I really wanna check out imperial before I consider applying but they have no open days planned and there's no way to see what like the streets and area of the place is like and the layout and just overall atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to this video thanks for replying.
hey, there are courses specifically in optometry but they are not doctors. To do opthamology, you have to do a standard medical degree and then specialise afterwards
is it as competitive as the stereotype? i’m thinking about applying for med but i’m really not sure i want to do my degree in an environment that works INCREDIBLY incredibly hard (similar to oxbridge!)
Hmm, this is quite a subjective question so I will answer based on that I think. I think getting in is quite tough - the toughest part is probably the BMAT imo but its definitely possible with hard work and determination. In terms of oxbridge I can't say how tough it is compared to them but here at Imperial medicine, I believe there is more of a balance than there would be at Oxbridge. The workload is challenging but it's definitely possible to have a balance and do plenty of extra curriculars. It depends a lot on the person. Hope this helps!
Hello, I am planning to apply at Imperial to do my Bachelor of Mathematics. Can the university award scholarships? In my country (Panama) they only give scholarships to some universities in the United States and to be honest, I am not attracted to studying in any, and also that I do not have the economic resources to pay it. I appreciate any help. 🙏🏻
Hi, I am from Australia and wish to apply for Imperial for the year 2024. Could you make a video on how to apply as an international applicant for medicine from Australia and including the annual cost of the course etc. Thank you very much and if you cannot make a video could you reply to this message :)
Hey! I am currently thinking about a video to make with some of my international friends regarding their journey! It may not be out for a while but it's certainly on the agenda! stay tuned :)
Hey, yes they can! It is first years I believe. I'm not sure they do transfer students in medicine anymore but I may be wrong. Here's some information www.imperial.ac.uk/study/international-students/information-by-region/north-america/ . Also email the medicine admissions team for more information
Hi, loved the tour! 😊Ive got an offer to study biochem in October, do you know much about that course? I really want to go to imperial and i think the main overarching factor that’s putting me off it is that everyone says its so much more expensive to live in london than another uni, is this true? Also do you know anything about doing a year/research abroad?
Hey! I've heard it's an interesting course but unfortunately don't really know too much about it :( In terms of price, unfortunately yes it is a bit pricey just like all the main London universities - mostly London rents and transport I think. Although Imperial offers a really generous bursary scheme with a household income of upto 60,000 so a lot of students may be applicable. There's also maintenance loans that are higher in London so that will also be able to help you. I think London is definitely a vibe and worth living there at some point and experiencing it if you can. I don't know about research abroad either, sorry. Hope I could be of some help though
@@DoctorDevify thanks for help!Think I’ve decided I definitely want to firm Imperial! Really hope things will be a bit more normal by October, online uni 5 days a week sounds like a drag
Hi i applied for imperial for aeronautical engineering! Do you have any friends / know of anyone that does this course and if so, how is the ratio of females to boys like? And the amount of home students to international in the course?
Hey, thats great you applied, good luck in your application! From this resource, www.theuniguide.co.uk/imperial-college-london-i50/courses/aeronautical-engineering-meng-hon-2021-71a916fd4a3b , it says that males to females is 83:17 which sounds about right from what I hear about general engineering courses at Imperial. The international students seems to be 60 internationals to 40 home. However, after brexit, these stats may change. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends that study the course so I can't ask them :( Hope my answer helps though!
