Awesome. I searched around apple support forums for a while for this, and I think this is finally a nice up-to-date easy tutorial. My iMac is from 2009 with the same specs, Yosemite and I recently started experiencing Bootcamp not booting anymore into windows 7. The partition had been there for 3 years but I decided to take all my important stuff off and try to reinstall. I would love to run windows 10 in Mac without having to buy a whole new computer! Hello, you need to shut down your Mac, and then immediately after the startup chime, you need to press "option." This will bring the bootable hard drives. Click on your USB to install.
Things I had to do that differ from this this tutorial: Despite changing the boot camp info.plist, I couldn’t make a successful USB boot disk so had to make a bootable DVD instead form the Win7 ISO. I had to install boot camp BEFORE the upgrade to 10 as I couldn’t get on the internet to download the Windows Media creation tool. Remember to hold down the alt/option key after each forced/requested reboot to continue the install, your Mac won’t reboot back into windows natively.

4:35, why do you exactly have to back up the mac files if you dont use them? me and my dad are trying to run windows 10 on a build-your own mac. i also see you moved them into WININSTALL. why do you do this if you will not have those files on your windows side?
AJCRAFT101 well 2 reason actually. One, in case your macOS fails while dual booting. Then you have all your files saved. and two, if you want to have them on your windows side. Once the installation is done, you can delete then from the flash drive.
ok, that clears up a lot, so basically, we can just go without that step, right? (because we have a big backup hardrive that we already backed up our computer on)

Hello, on the Win10 1903 version, bootcamp will not work, the pc gives direct a blue screen. Reproducible. I only need it for the keyboard and mouse pad. The keyboard will not use the F1-F12 function keys (only with Fn) By the mouse pad, the right mouse click won't work. The Win10 1903 version works good with the Mac-book pro late 2011. Only not the mouse pad and the keyboard. Is there a solution for it, please let me hear. I love the video. Greeting from the Netherlands.
Yes, I managed to get the audio working. It will not work with BootCamp since there is no support for audio drivers on EFI Models (2011 and earlier). In order to remedy this, I installed Parallels Software and then installed windows using the iso file. After you install, you may notice that the installation assistant is stuck and not responding. At that time, just right click on the screen and select ‘Continue Manually...’. Click yes on the warning which appears. Afterwards, on the top right, you will see a caution icon. Click on it and proceed to install Parallels toolbox. And The audio will start working. You should give it a try.

On the install step I got a screen that said "no bootable device insert boot disk" I was able to start back into high sierra but now every time my mac restarts it brings me back to that black screen... PLEASE help (late 2011 macbook pro) I gave up on getting windows 10 but any help with the boot issue would be much appreciated!
Open boot camp and delete the windows partition, if it still appears the black screen restores the nvram by pressing option + command + p + r during boot up to the second sound support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

I get as far as adding the boot camp file to the usb and doing the windows partition then after pressing install I get the following message....help please
Boot Camp Assistant did not detect the presence of Windows support software. The support software is required to install Windows. Insert a USB drive containing the support software, or click Go Back to download the software.
Vibe Fenix re download the software for the boot camp support. Hopefully that helps.

Worked like a charm! Thanks a ton!
Thanks, it works, keep the good work.
iv got problem with sound I have no sound and it says
that there is no output device installed on my Mac 2011early 13inch
I also have this problem. Did you manage to fix it?
@@chetanlfc no i still didn't
@@chetanlfc if you got pls i really want to change to windows
Yes, I managed to get the audio working. It will not work with BootCamp since there is no support for audio drivers on EFI Models (2011 and earlier). In order to remedy this, I installed Parallels Software and then installed windows using the iso file. After you install, you may notice that the installation assistant is stuck and not responding. At that time, just right click on the screen and select ‘Continue Manually...’. Click yes on the warning which appears. Afterwards, on the top right, you will see a caution icon. Click on it and proceed to install Parallels toolbox. And The audio will start working. You should give it a try.
@@chetanlfc but is this the only way I mean parallels is like virtual box I need to boot my computer with windows

Hi, I am in the process of installing Windows 8.1 and @ the install screen it says it cannot due to the disk format needs to be GPT disk? But I do not get a choice to change this because bootcamp does all this part when I partition the SSD for macOS and winOS?
HELP! What should I do now? Thanks for everything. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thank you for this lovely tutorial, perhaps the best one in the market - I do have a question though, at step 4 it keeps asking me to insert windows disc first which I don't have as its not recognising the usb bootable drive as a windows install disk - the usb is also named as install - any idea?
Is this going to work with old white MacBook early 2008? Please let me know thanks..
