Hi DEE, loved your talk today. Reminded me of a talk show I watched years ago. A lady doctor who had just spent 6months in the ARCTIC with a small group of people was asked what she had learned from the experience. She said, I learned that I wasn't the most important one in the group, I only treated one person at a time, but the man who kept the generator running kept us all alive. Another thing she observed, was that the A type more aggressive personalities, would get into fights when cooped up in the tent for lengths of time and a very quiet person would say something quietly, and they would all calm down. In everyday society, the go-getter more aggressive ones are looked on as more successful, but she said, she saw how the quiet person could create harmony among the louder ones. Your talk today brought that back to me. Cherrie bye 4.30PM Northern Australia here. A pleasant Autumn day. XXXOO💛🍊🍊
I’ve had a taste of the doctors with no bedside manner at all, suffered the narcissists of this world, exploited my so called friends, you name it. Life can be a real test but as you say, we matter. Be true to yourself, rise above all of the negativity. It is all part of life’s rich rag rug.
I worked with a young man who was studying to be a paramedic. I asked him once if he ever wants to give up on some of his patients he dealt with and thought that they were a lost cause and he said absolutely not. Everyone’s life matters, he said even the crack addicts and many others he deals with he said they ALL MATTER. And I thought wow!😮
That's true we all matter but the person who has dealt with them and knows their negative ways have a different opinion on them. They might not matter because of how they treat those closest to them. Two strangers have no bond so we all matter because we don't have a relationship.
The predator type in any profession also who engage in "grabbing " at opportune times also have been recorded in local gossip rounds as head line grabbers.unfortunately for the persona of the Irish national character's future generational legacy.
Last year, for a few months I was hospitalized, and I was the youngest in my ward (19)- since its mostly seniors who need intensive care And it made me so sad to see the emotional disregard from the carers and nurses and doctors for everybody else there firsthand. I developed such close bonds with those patients, they were all lovely, positive and inspiring people and their company mattered so much to me during such a difficult time. I still visit when I can, because without the support of those older women and men I wouldn't have been able to get through that experience and go on to take better care of myself in the present. I have plans to start studying for a degree in aged care now, the self importance of 'professionals' and lack of respect in that industry breaks my heart. Despite only being one girl, I'm hopeful to make even a small change for some people and show that they still matter
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Absolutely - alone, you may not be able to change the world - but you will be able to change the world of those around you. Take care, hoping that you are fully fit and wishng you a great future. D
Absolutely love your videos! What a precious human being you are! I will be 75 yrs old in a few months. Your videos lift my spirit! I am way too hard on myself! May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you!

Wow. That doctor literally took my breath away! When I was a junior nurse (about a thousand years ago), one of my jobs was to follow the consultant's ward round and comfort patients he'd upset. Every single person matters, from the rough sleeper to the king. We are here for a reason. ❤❤
Came across your channel, and since I recently lost a dear friend named Dee and you seem to be sharing similar values i like to come here and listen to your soothing voice, just as I listened to hers. Thank you and have a lovely day.

@@Cheshirelassyou're right Dee " we all matter" However, when we interact with "nasty, toxic, miserable " people then in order to preserve our peace "they don't matter".
As a med student, I loved hearing your examples of the way some seniour doctors are to patients. I know many are so very focused on the mechanics of treatments and the pathology, to the point when they see the patient simply as a clinical case, like an object, instead of a person to take care of. I am personally a very sensitive individual and I've found myself multiple times, especially yesterday, thinking wheter I really belong in this field or not. Cause everyone is so focused on achieving and on mooving fast and quite superficial, detached to the patients' perspectives, focused on their to do list. I sometimes just feel like an outsider for having this sensitivity to people, for wanting to take things slower, with more grace. Thank you for the massage! It gave me a little hope that I am not an outsider to the medical field. Just because I don't have the same way to look at patients as others in my situation, this doesn't mean I'm wrong. I needed to hear this. Changes are deffinetely needed in this field, especially in terms of the connection and empathy with the patient. It was a very validating message for me. Thank you!
Take care. I have to say that I have been delighted recently with how my GPs treat me. I know how busy they are and apreciate their support - but I actually feel that I matter to them. It helps to build trust in patients. Changes will happen - with people like you on board. I am also sure that there are many senior medical folk who do seek to make that connection. As a counsellor, I know how vital that is - for mind and body, Thinking of you. D
The world needs people like you among medical professionals. I have come accross two doctors who were considerate, careful in their work and showed high respect to me as a humam being. I will never forget those doctors. They showed me an example how to meet another human being.

Thank you. As a 68 year young. Women I have had a problem with self worth. Thought I wasn't enough because I didn't go to college. Had regular jobs in my life. But because I felt unworthy I felt like I didn't deserve to be here and take the space that someone better should have had.
Every good deed you do makes you worthy. I didn't go to uni, my husband and I spent our lives caring for others, people as well as animals and nature.. No medals required.
Thank you Dee for these thoughts. I have many examples from my 76 years of where others have considered themselves more important or more intelligent than me. I am reminded of the poem. “For the want of a nail the Kingdom was lost”
Sorry for your experience with the surgeon that worked with you, they can be quite inconsiderate in that field sometimes. Thank you, I appreciate the message.
I understand what you’re saying. It takes awhile to get life and concepts, eventually you get the picture and your happy just being… not that we we’re before that…. Just takes awhile to weigh out things in life.
My mother was a nurse. She loved her job but hated the atmosphere, the mentality. It's very disturbing to see that those who accompany us when we're at our most vulnerable do this that go against the reason why they are there. It's perverse. It's an inexcusable abuse of power. I think that many women after having given birth leave the maternity ward in shock. They go home all geared up to dive into deep depression because of the way they were treated by medical staff, from the nurses to the gynaecologist. They realise they bring a child into a sometimes despicable world and it shakes them to the core.
I loved working with couples on hypnobirthing as they gained skills to ask questions, to look after themelves and new baby - after as well as during birth. D
@@Cheshirelass totally agree maternity wards and mothers need radical change most mothers leave traumatised not just by the birth experience but by the care.
I delivered my niece's child late one night while the nurse went off to complete her paperwork before going home. After I called she returned and said we would need to get her down to a room for stitching up, we used steps to do so because the trolly was high and I am petite, and we had already been moved three times. I was still wearing my milking gear from early morning and we hadn't eaten all day. Thank goodness that hospital was closed down. Subsequent medical care was seriously lacking and my niece passed away age 31, but her daughter is now a qualified paramedic.
I got sent away as a foster child when i was younger and this has effected me into my adulthood. I got sent away so i dont matter. Thats how i felt for a very long time. I finally made a success of my self and then a few of my friends around me at the time set me up. I was naive and had very self centered friends who got jealous of my success. Ive been through hell and back, i dont care tho I made it through and guess what - I MATTER
sometimes when i'm feeling down or just 'meh' i come here and listen to whatever dee have to say. it never fails to bring me a little bit of joy and hope. thanks a lot, dee!
It’s so sad how you were treated and talked to like that by medical “professionals”. I hope the junior doctor who apologized to you keeps his sensible attitude. It seems like that is a common problem here in the U.S. too.
Thank you for this message Dee, very much appreciated. Nowadays people are by definition rude to each other, it takes a lot of courage to stand up for your self.
That’s a dreadful experience to have had with a Consultant at such a difficult time. He wasn’t. Setting a good example but at least the junior doctor had the good sense to see through it.
It’s true, we all matter. Maybe the brusque doctors are struggling with their own mental health. I have a niece who is a doctor and she also has a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and I have often wondered what it might be like to sit face to face with her and receive health treatment from her. I’ve had experience of both ends of the spectrum in my life - appalling callousness in the face of disaster and also amazing kindness and sympathy at similar times. Each experience was life changing and made me stronger.
First, that was so insensitive and callous of the doctors, especially the one who was treating your father. They may know medicine, but they have forgotten what it is like to be human. A large number of doctors and other medical professionals lack tact and empathy. I believe this is because their very jobs are dealing with people who are in pain and suffering; they may start their careers overflowing with empathy, sympathy and compassion, but with time, dealing with the suffering that constantly confronts, they develope a hard shell to protect themselves from being completely consumed with sorrow. This simply explains their callousness, but does not excuse it; I wish I knew a solution.
Thank you. I’m crying right now, and I can’t really put into words why, but I wanted to comment and let you know I appreciate you and this video and your words after stumbling upon it on my homepage. We all matter, and it’s a really nice sentiment to remember and be reminded of sometimes, so thank you.
You matter. I cried when you said that. Thank you for these words. I love to listen to you. Your way of talking comforts me. Greets from Holland, The Nederlands😊
This video just came in my foryou page. I think it is a message from God to me because i went through what i consider the worst phase of my life. I am striving to let go of what has happened. Thankyou!
Sadly, this is how society is. It's all about your power and status for lots of people. I heard recently that we ask each other "Oh what is it you do ?" So instantly we can judge them. I worked in the operating theatres for 14 years, and it's a well-known fact that most surgeons / doctors are narcissists . Some were so rude to the staff that we didn't want to work with them. I'm a Christian, and I believe every single person has a part to fill on this Earth. I have met some absolutely beautiful, kind , generous people and people. Just keep being a good person and caring person regardless of what others do or say. God bless.
Thank you for sharing your words.I will share a story. Used to live in Cyprus (with RAF). Didn't have mains drainage - and you can imagine the guy emptying tanks in the summer. He came to do ours and the heavens opened - I invited him (gesturing and smiling as we didn't have a shared language) to shelter on the verandah. We were having a squadron mezze along the side of a main road and said guy passed - reversed and with copious waving shouted - hello Mrs. You can imagine the comments, but d'you know - I didn't care. From then onwards he seemed to see me at 100 paces and I always received a toot, wave and big grin. I returned the latter 2. D
When I was a kid, Mr Rogers was one of my favorite shows, and these videos have the same exact feeling to them as that show, but for adults. Thankyou for being yourself Dee, whenever you upload it always brightens my day.
We all feel blessed in all that we do is what connects us... vibrations sometimes high some times very low , but always high frequencies from the below to the highest hight ... like a kite 🪁... you know ... let me know if you are feeling it? Let's go fly a kite up to the highest hight ... let's go fly a kite and send it soaring... up through the atmosphere... up where the air is clear... Oh let's fly a kite...🎶 such a simple concept and just a thought ... to serve is to be served.🌬️💌🌹
I really needed to hear this today. My partner of five years has been lying to me for a long time now and has made me believe that because I’m upset about it that it must be my fault . He’s made me believe that I don’t matter but these words have made me believe that I do matter of my feelings are valid regardless of whether he thinks they are or not thank you.❤

hello Dee, I'm quite new to your channel, but I've had the best time here thus far. I wanted to extend my gratitude for your words of wisdom, your knowledge & our onesided little chats. They are a much-needed breath of fresh air :)) so thank you!!
Your stories about the doctors reminded me of the doctor my father had when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. His doctor was always touted as a brilliant surgeon etc but he was the coldest, rudest man I'd ever met. It was such a horrible time in my family's life and any kindness or consideration would have made things just the slightest bit more bearable but no. We were all treated like absolute nobodies. So sad.

Taking care of the environment and creating a sanctuary for ourselves, others and the different types of plants ,animals birds and other types of things that exist. Matter matters ❤
Hi DEE,
loved your talk today.
Another thing she observed, was that the A type more aggressive personalities, would get into fights
when cooped up in the tent for lengths of time and a very quiet person would say something quietly, and they would all calm down.
In everyday society, the go-getter more aggressive ones are looked on as more successful, but she said, she saw how the quiet person could create harmony among the louder ones.
Your talk today brought that back to me.

sometimes when i'm feeling down or just 'meh' i come here and listen to whatever dee have to say. it never fails to bring me a little bit of joy and hope. thanks a lot, dee!
Thank you so much. Glad am not the only one to use 'meh' to describe how I am feeling! D
Great message, thank you. ❤

Thank You so much 💞🌸🕊 You matter too💞🦋
Thank you madam , love and respect 🤍🌹
Thank you, dear Dee. You matter to all of us. 💗💗💗
Your words of wisdom brings me joy. Thank you
Thank you Dee. 💜🌸🌿
I broke to tears. Thank you.
We never know what paddling is going on under the water. D

Thank you Katie - it is good to be reminded by others, but we need to remind ourselves too. D
Thank you so much you matter and so do I and everyone who posted. CHEERS TO EVERYONE ❤😊

Thankyou!
Thanks u so much you are just the sweetest ❤ your words touch me more then u can ever imagine thanks for this peaceful bliss u just Gave me.
Dr Gupta York Cardiology is lovely.
When I was a kid, Mr Rogers was one of my favorite shows, and these videos have the same exact feeling to them as that show, but for adults. Thankyou for being yourself Dee, whenever you upload it always brightens my day.
Thank you so much. D
Mr Roger’s was such a treasure. ❤ this 50 something woman treasures the memories of his shows
I found your channel today quite out of the blue and subscribed. You are a love, caring lady. Thank you for all your kind words.🎉
Thank you so much! D
Beautiful words yes we all matter and so long as we are happy with what we work at that’s all that counts
Thank you so much. Your words really touched me. Take care💕
Thanks for sharing. D
❤
And YOU matter dear Dee .
You are making the world a better place, one video at a time ❤
Wow, thank you D

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom, love and kindness . you are awesome! :)
I really needed to hear this today.
My partner of five years has been lying to me for a long time now and has made me believe that because I’m upset about it that it must be my fault . He’s made me believe that I don’t matter but these words have made me believe that I do matter of my feelings are valid regardless of whether he thinks they are or not thank you.❤
Absolutely! Strange how some people try to spin things to direct blame away from themselves. D
His attitude is not a good basis for a future relationship. Consider whether this is the future you want, especially as you will always be left wondering how many more you might discover.
Thank you !needed this ❤ you matter also sweet lady x

hello Dee, I'm quite new to your channel, but I've had the best time here thus far. I wanted to extend my gratitude for your words of wisdom, your knowledge & our onesided little chats. They are a much-needed breath of fresh air :)) so thank you!!
You are so welcome - thanks for joining us - and there's a whole raft of videos in my playlists - D
So sad.
It really makes things worse doesn't it? D
Great video! I have experienced all! Very easy to put ourselves completely out of our priority lists! Thanks for the reminder! 👍
You are welcome! D
Thank you Dee, I really value your talks, Im a stay at home parent, but increasingly are becoming undervalued by people I love and care about, thank you for reminding me that I do matter. x
You are so welcome! D
These videos are soothing me at 3am when I'm awake with anxiety. Thanks Dee ❤
Take care, D
I've experienced my memories with my Mum as a narcissist😑 It wasn't something that I wanted to be a POSSIBLE TRUTH, but as I continue through Life and as I CHOOSE to turn OR TUNE INto the InFormation that she spiels,I OVERSTAND UnConsciousness....I'm a Potty Training Teacher with DEEP MENTAL VIBES😂 THANK YOU QUEEN 🧠 👑 for sharing such INVALUABLE TEACHINGS & INNERSTANDINGS🙏
Take care. D
Such a beautiful talk! Thank you!
Hello Dee, thank you for telling me that I matter. There have been so many challenging times lately that I just needed to hear this. Your kindness and caring character mean so much to me; it has comforted me and many others. Thanks so much, Dee and you matter too and thank you for all you do.
Take care Susannah - and keep on telling yourself that you matter because you do. You have weathered those challenging times - so chin up and onwards you go. D
It is not what others think about us .We define ourselves .
Thanks Dee for taking the time to share this important information with us all.
We all are worthy of love and kindness. We all matter. The greatest thing that we can do in our lives is to be present with kindness and compassion for each other and ourselves.
Taking care of the environment and creating a sanctuary for ourselves, others and the different types of plants ,animals birds and other types of things that exist. Matter matters ❤
Well said. In this crazy world of ours, we need this so much. D
