When I worked for Kiewit when we built the Los Vaqueros reservoir up by Vasco Rd up in Livermore Ca they had a team of six 651s and 2 D10 rip cats and 2 D10 push cats. Those guys would back up in tandem in 3rd gear! With 2 10s behind a 651 in that soft dirt they had the it boiling over the top after the can barely touched the ground! It was something else! I ran a brand new 825 compactor on the dam all summer, it was a great time and an amazing experience. Thanks for a trip down memory lane! Be safe out there! 🇺🇸💪👊👍
The question begs with all that dust, why don't all the drivers have enclosed air conditioned cabins, their lungs must be a mess at the end of a shift in that????
I don't think you understand the video, or what's going on here, but yes we always try to load downhill facing the fill, but that's just not always possible. 🍻🇺🇲
Thanks, brings back memories of my childhood, my grandfather whose company helped build the Alaskan Highway, and his years after building roads through out the Midwest…
Yeah, people on here freak out about uphill loading, but gravity tends to pull material into the bowl that way. I'm not recommending trying to load uphill on a steep slope mind you, but depending on the material sometimes it's productive.
Probably, but they may not have an 11 set up as a push tractor. Can't imagine a company as big as this would pay 3 guys to do the job that 2 can do with bigger equipment if they didn't HAVE to.
Teamwork at its finest. The timing sems to be right on between the dozers backing up to catch the next pan. Not their first day as operators on this iron .

Fulton put a 9l behind a 10 that Rudy was running loaded in 6 seconds
A perfect orchestra of earth moving machines 💪
They are the best
And always will be
Cutting uphill, here come the keyboard scraper operators!😁 Great video. Those 631 is are tough little boogers
Maybe they. Are loading up. That. Rough. Stuff. For a special purpose
Thank you for the update. I love all the heavy iron
wow, great movement of two bulldozers very fast to push the scraper 👍👍
651B's will never leave this planet not still running!!! 💪🍻🇺🇲
Balanced and productive
The CCM model manufacturer will soon release this beautiful D10N in push dozer configuration (1/48 scale)!
Wow!!! Spectacular view and great video !!! Thanks
The guys on the D10’s certainly earn their money. Wonder how many hours the tracks do?
oops, the grade checker set the lasers 1 foot off. regrade entire job, please.
Blame the surveyors. 👍🍻🇺🇲
What are they dipping out
what is the job of a non push cat D10
Been There Done That :)
It's like getting the wrong way right
That is tough digging
Sometimes they dig uphill to pull the tail up otherwise the pit ends up too long..
these are very sucsefule they know the job better to push them uphill they diging in a hole uphill both ways they keep bottom on grade easer
Would not want the fuel bill.
Trying to shuve him into school

You probably have never seen or worked in a truly dusty enviroment to say that.
@@albertogarcia5276It's hardly rocket science with dust related lung diseases causing death but rednecks wouldn't understand that
Pushing uphill what are they digging a Kate Smith swimming pool
Uphill that’s a no no and rear push cat should pickup next scraper 🤦

@@Control-Alt-Delete619 exactly....if you are digging a hole with scrapers you are gunna go uphill in the cut at some point
@@Gavin84wThank you. How are you going to cut out a pond without going uphill at some point?
Love these videos, thank you! I could watch them all day. Yet, another future subdivision where the yards will drain like a cement patio.......
The D10 pushing the D10 that is pushing the scraper. Good video, enjoyed it.
Good way to keep welders and mechanics busy, surely.
That's a pan spread for you.😅
Thanks, brings back memories of my childhood, my grandfather whose company helped build the Alaskan Highway, and his years after building roads through out the Midwest…
Love your videos. They are the next best thing to watching a CAT Power Parade
I love running dozer. Even the ol’ push cat
Rock loads better up hill, rolls back in the bowl .

It also loads better when they close the apron earlier and do not let some of the load fall out.
It's not very fun pushing while being pushed by a cat. You feel like a bobblehead.
earth MOVING
I was a operator i have had 6 back surgeries and 1 neck surgery, can you gues why? 😂
Looking at Juicy Lucy maybe
@@dennisholst4322 no, looking at your wife, it sent me into convolutions and ruptured 4 of my discs. But thanks for the concern
Maybe it's undesirable material
What is this material to be used for
Nose up on the scraper
Pet rocks for sale
Couldn t a D11N or a D11R take the place of 2 of these D10Ns?
Probably, but they may not have an 11 set up as a push tractor. Can't imagine a company as big as this would pay 3 guys to do the job that 2 can do with bigger equipment if they didn't HAVE to.
Actually no. 👍🍻🇺🇲
Wow double push Cat's! Ive never seen that move before.
That Do make it nice
Very common in California. Bigger loads in less time = lower cost per cubic yard.
@@davidwood1294 In your country do you use this device?

California heat, all that dust and noise, that company really hates the guyw in the open station machines.
incredible, I can see the operator spinning his wheels and he is being pushed by the Bulldozer,
Was this when they did the dirt work for I-5 or I-10
The 5 and 10 were built in the early 60's.
Housing development
Are you related to Bill
This is some boney stuff
Balls up hill in Rocks balls
Low budget outfit...No Cabs, Straight Pipe no mufflers Wow...except for a couple of Dozers with cabs. I'm all set I'll, pass on this job...Good video.
Dont worry that jobsite aint for whiners n yankees no ways so u would be safe from gettin hired anyways
818,000 people left California & your building a road for what, so they can come back or more to leave.
Mmmmm.... Im gonna tell Sleepy Joe and Newsome.....this equipment isn't battery powered!!
Seems hard work to load up hill
I guess they never heard that cutting downhill is easier and faster. Typical California.
Cutting uphill with two dozer pushing where are the push pull scappers turn that cut around and go down hill
push pull in sandstone with a short cut.....riiiiiiiiight.
❤
Shut up
