Are you having an extension built to provide a library wing? I will give 'Romulus' a pass, if I want to revisit the non core movies in the franchise I turn to the DVD, yes DVD, from Dogwoof called 'Memory'. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, baby! AP is one of my favorite comedies. Probably top five. If you have a love for '60s "Mod Cinema," and the early Bonds and its spoofs, it's a must-see and must-OWN!
That one egregious piece of CGI was actually Ridley Scott's idea, and obviously the worst part of it. Outside of that I think Romulus is a great return to that horror vibe. Yeah there are similarities to Alien, but other films in the franchise have tried anything to be different, and haven't always worked. Taken for what it was I was pretty happy with it.
Could not agree more about Romulus, I feel like we could have had a solid 8/10 there but the pointless CGI necromancy, which added nothing, and insertion of stupid callbacks regardless of how totally inappropriate they were to both the context and character (you know the one!) really took the shine off for me (ironically). A bit fed up of being treated like a dumb child that can just be placated with fan-service rather than filmmaking. Also shark-jumps like the chestbursters now only taking a matter of a couple of minutes feel lazy too. Anyway, great reviews of all!
I think Alien Romulus is a great film. For me it's the best modern Alien film since Alien and Aliens. The characters, suspense, action, music and visuals are all breathtaking. I enjoyed it and looking at most of the reviews , I think most of other majority people also enjoyed it😀
@@26_jyotishmanbaruah_cse85 Oh it definitely had its good points and good ideas! And the fact it was the best since Aliens isn't saying all that much. But overall for me it left a bad impression due to some massive plot holes and the dumb and totally unnecessary fan-service that Elliot mentioned which just kept pulling me out of what had, until the corpse of Ian Holm appeared, been an involving, interesting film. Turning the character of Andy into some dumb action hero by the end (and with a line of fan service so inappriopriate and lazy it made me roll my eyes), was also a dumb move - he had been a really interesting character up until 3/4 of the way through when they seemed to abandon that. Each to their own though, of course.
Recently watched American Movie on Amazon Prime. Such a great wholesome movie about foolowing your passions. I'd be interested to know how the 4K quality looks
Almost walked out of the last Deadpool- abysmal. Saw Stir of Echoes in the cinema- it's underrated. Had the imprint Blu-ray. Slumber Party Massacre was a film that the BFI included in a horror film course for in 1988, taught by Ian Christie, the academic and author.
Thanks for watching - and sorry for the construction noise that you can sometimes hear coming from outside!

@@twcc406 yes I’m having a second library annex built… in my dreams 😅
I love Austin Powers, I hope we get a release here in Canada! It's always a fun trilogy to watch.

Ok I'm going to have to get that Slumber Party pack!
You mean Alien: Friends in Space. Great film. Had me wanting a cafe Nero at the end of the movie.

Anybody reading this who hasn’t seen American Movie, needs to watch it ASAP.

I think all Alien films are garbage after the third.
No. Right from the start
Alien Resurrection is a guilty pleasure of mine but yeah, not a very good film and Romulus was the worst of the bunch.

Didn’t like Deadpool & Wolverine at all
1st!
I can't bring myself to spend money on Austin Powers purely because of that awful artwork.
Call me old fashioned but the film and the disc comes first for me. Nice artwork is a bonus.
For me, Austin Powers is one the worst cringe worthy films of the 90's. I can't even bring myself to watch it on tv 😂
@@markley2and for me it’s one of the best films of the 90s :)
