My sister had caregiven for her husband for decades. He passed away about the time her son started showing the same symptoms of the inherited disease of Ataxia, blindness and complete lose of muscle control and horrible choking incidents. It has been a looooong road for her and I wish I lived closer to help her at least take a break now and then-I live in California and she lives in Washington. How some people handle such a difficult exhausting life I have no idea.

Grill it, steam it, but with butter and salt. Also, corn cut off the cob with green peppers diced, tomatoes diced, and a little bit of garlic. It’s so good!
I appreciate the fails, it makes everything more relatable! Everyone always portrays these perfect DIYs, or hacks, or homes and it makes you feel like you're failing, but you show us things like your fails or your messy laundry room (last video) and it makes me feel more normal. "Katheryn's laundry room is a mess?! Ok, now I don't feel so terrible about my disaster" lol
Pro tip on the resin and rocks bit: DON'T use the dyed gravel. The dye bleeds into the resin and will turn it colors. Also, Dollar Tree sells a thin, circular wooden blank sign that's about 12 inches in diameter. These are a great cheap material for laser engraving/cutting.

Girl. Money. Bunch of liars. This chick says all kinds of shitty stuff is good. I go to the dollar tree all the tjme. I have used so many things and she recommends stuff that is absolutely shit. There are a lot of good stuff but I swear so much of this stuff is shit and not only that, if you actually see some of the stuff she puts together in person, it looks so incredibly cheap. There isn’t one dollar tree stem/floral that is appealing unless 20 feet away. I don’t like the lies.

I've used the bbq papers and baskets for years. They really are great for easy clean up and fun to use. My favorite way to eat corn is grilled then taken off the cob and cooked in a pan with butter salt and pepper. My favorite beach is Waikiki . You can grate cheese right into a zip top bag.
Most of these things we don't have at our 1.25 Dollar Tree...BUT it is always such a pleasure to enjoy your sunny energy for a few minutes regardless. Thank you for just being your fun sweet warm self!!!

Oh wow. That's interesting. My mom used to can the corn my dad grew in the garden. One year she did pickled corn. I thought it was so gross. My mom never canned it that way again. Most of the time she freezes it now, because it tastes more like fresh picked. I never had anyone talk about pickled corn anymore. Do you make your own or buy it in the store?

Instead of going to the five dollar section for those clips, go to the laundry, section and they have the same ones except they are plain blue and white. I live in Florida, so we are at the pool a lot. I use these clips all the time to hold my towels and they work great!

Favorite way for corn on the cob, is that you take some of the leaves off way on top, you leave some leaves and pull them back, you cover them with butter or margarine, and then you sprinkle the dollar tree garlic powder all over the whole entire corn cob a lot of it. Then you pull back up the leaves, one of your spare leaves you save it because you could cut them in strips and you could tie the tips of the corn leaves over the corn, and barbecue them! They are so delicious! As you could tell I love the dollar tree and I love this girl that is doing these videos! You’ve had other women on here to do videos for dollar tree just don’t cut it.

Sorry about the failed bread, most of the videos , are using cake flour it has baking powder added. Took me years of fails to figure this out. Happy baking.

Your lucky to have such good dollar tree's in the US. Here in Canada ,not so good. Sometimes you can find a gem. I love the hangers all my clothes are using them. Love the baking fail at the end, sometimes things don't work out like you want.

I do a similar thing to the ice cream hack with my cereal. I know everyone here probably has separate containers and whatnot, but if you're just going the traditional "pour from the box into a bowl" method, this is super convenient. When you're down to about 1 bowl worth of cereal left, take the top of the bag and fold it downward. The fold should be about as wide as a shirt collar. Then keep folding it over and over, which gives it more strength and starts to form a pretty structurally sound bowl. Once you get to a good height and rigidity, just add your milk and you're good to go. Less waste, less dishes to be done, and you get the flavor from all the crumbs at the bottom of the bag. 😋
Watching someone go through the isles of dollar tree is fine, but it's incredible to watch you put these things to actual use! HARDLY ever saw something you recommended and thought , that wouldn't work!
The ice cream hack is a great one. Especially because I always just want a very small amount. Four ounces would be perfect for me after dinner.

Honestly, seasoned salt and melted butter is my favorite way to eat corn. Crumbled Cotija cheese if you're feeling it too.

The wax paper liners are way cheaper at Amazon. I keep wanting to pick them up at the dollar tree, but I feel they are overpriced for the amount they give you in the packet. I still love the idea though.

I agree! I love to see all the cute successful projects, but there's something so human about sharing failures as well. also, genius idea to keep a kneeling pad in the bathroom for bathing kids. I bought a few several weeks ago for gardening, but I'm going to keep one in the bathroom now.
When we grill corn, we take some of the leaves off set them aside. Leave enough leaves on to completely cover the corn, pull them back and add butter and a lot of garlic powder! A lot of butter or margarine we use country crock. And then you get the garlic powder at the dollar tree for one dollar. Unless you want to dig through the bin at Walmart and save two cents were they sell for $.98! Then you tell your corn strip in one of your leaves, and, of course, attach it so you could tie it real good on the top, and then, Grillet! It is so delicious! And the corn is very, very tender

Yes please keep the failed diy in. It keeps it real. When I first started card making, I always felt so bad, because I would mess up all the time, and all the TH-camrs I was watching would do everything perfectly. Well, they only did things perfectly through the magic of editing, but it took me a long time to figure that out. I love keeping it real and I would really appreciate you leaving in a fail if you have one.
