I'd highly recommend the crushed bone -> epoxy recipe instead of the tree sap -> epoxy one, cause bones are really easy to come by, with all those crocs attacking you
Z1 you don't need to move your metal tools to anvil to repair them, you can directly repair them from the toolbar as long as you are in the anvil interface
You have 3 stomach slots - it's a good idea to fill them all. Look at the various foods you have available and combine to suit the task. Note bacon gives xp. The animals are not seeing you but they came probably hear or smell you. If you look to the right of the water indicator (bottom left) you'll see some horizontal lines. These show how much noise you are making. Try standing still on a wooden floor then jump up and down and see the difference. If you stealth in your house when there are predators about, you have a better chance they will not sense you.
Ah yes! In my beginning days I used to haul tons of unwanted stone with me back during the mining runs, just keep an eye out for stone in your inventory! Probably use the sort option to see things better in your inventory!
There are no exotics in the Open World map so the Orbital Exchange Interface in not needed. The Short Range Radio is all you need. Check the water for crocs before you go swimming. They are fast in water and absolutely deadly!
must build some standing Torches to leave in place for static light sources. build a floor and some posts to hold it up for a place to leave a chest and Campfire. Stone Structures are immune to weather events. make sure all exposed structural elements are upgraded accordingly. mining, forestry, stone collecting & Hunting are good sources for the XP grind. these also build up a worthy stockpile of resources for later construction
The underwater cave: you could place some ramps running up the cliff face as soon as you get out of the cave. Gets you out of the water away from any crocs as fast as possible.
Here are some tips for new people. 1) skip steel tools and weapons except for the pick. 2) the missions are the fastest exp and hunting wolves, jaguars. 3) plan your skill points from tier 4 and going backwards to maximize efficiency and reduce unnecessary point loss . 4) any guns that are not the hunter rifle are worthless so expect to see z1 disappointed. 5) use pastel and mortar for storage it's cheap and you can place it on any bench
If u make a wooden work bench (carpentry bench or sms like that) u can turn wood into sticks, u dont need to research anything. Also the steel pick gonna be useful to get Plat and Aluminum
Wanted to comment on this for you, can repair the items directly from your inventory should be right clicking on the item and do the repair. Also you can place the mortal and pestel ontop of your workbench for saving space and ease of access. I do recommend making two mortal and pastels due to one can be use just to make tree sap from sticks, also sticks can be made in the woodworking bench/table without the need for the perk or doing it in your inventory. And also make bone meal and with the perk can also make epoxy with bone meal for easier crafting of it.
I usually use the basic furnace for copper and iron ( you need ALOT) and that leaves the Concrete furnace open for steel, glass, titanium, plat and gold.
Steel pick axe👍. I wouldn't waste points or resources for the other steel tools. Just spec into platinum. Also you should forget about using spears, knives do about the same damage but they swing way faster
If you unlock flat bread it gives you a 5% exp bonus if you eat a bacon with it it stacks so you'd have 20% bonus, if you make the drying rack the meat afterwards will give you additional buff that stack so you'll be able to harvest more meat and skins when you go to harvest
Only thing i dont understand about this game really is why we need oxygen, looking at the planets they look exactly like planets that have oxygen in air? I mean there are literally animals and plants!! not some mutants but animals like on earth. I know its not much of a hustle later with items for oxygen but it still seems very weird to me why we need oxygen on those planets.
Not sure if its been said before but if you have already drawn and arrow you can cancel the shot by switching whats in your hand. (weapon swap as it were) That way you could insure that the arrow won't break.
the mission board stuff are not the same missions as the main missions, they are much simpler things to do. one "hard" task i got was to kill 30 rabbits. you get rewards after each mission, but there is no way to get exotics while playing open world mode. you can come and go as you please though.
Z! you did not just edit out how you got the sulfur, I can't believe my eyes. How am I gonna know where I should go to get it. you are my info guy cause you are so thorough and even show the Stuff other U-tubers think is not important. Bummer.... Oh well, I'm over it. you look like you are really enjoying this game. I have stayed away from it so far, cause I hated the Idea of loosing your build after all the work to build it. But it seems things are looking up the game has changed. Reviews are Great. So I am gonna purchase it after all just wish I knew what sulfur nodes look like. Just kidding Guess I will find out on my own. keep it up Z. =)
You can use an axe on young baby trees to get more sticks but the wood>sticks is beyond worth it especially once you get a composted to make fuel as the ratio is 5 sticks to 1 portion of fuel but 1 wood to 1 portion of fuel so using 1 wood you can get double the sticks so more fuel
I'd highly recommend the crushed bone -> epoxy recipe instead of the tree sap -> epoxy one, cause bones are really easy to come by, with all those crocs attacking you
Exactly - you need the sulphur for gunpowder amongst other things.
Bones are my go to for epoxy in early game

I think in your house, you need to put up some torches on the walls, so you can actually see better during the night and do in the daytime as well

Sticks from wood needs a blueprint AND a talent. The talent is in the survival section in the wood chain. You can make sticks in the carpentry bench.
The underwater cave: you could place some ramps running up the cliff face as soon as you get out of the cave. Gets you out of the water away from any crocs as fast as possible.

Rifle pew pew is awesome, a broad-side sneak attack on a croc is a one-shot. Most everything sneak attack head-shot is a one-shot deal.

29:00 not gonna talk about the floating tree?
Steel pick axe👍. I wouldn't waste points or resources for the other steel tools. Just spec into platinum. Also you should forget about using spears, knives do about the same damage but they swing way faster
Not sure if it has been said but you can bring the stone furnace and smelt the ores while there to save on weight
I highly recommend taming a buffalo and attaching a cart to haul resources. Also a Mao for a fast mount
I believe try the sickle on the small trees around the forest. Should get tons of sticks
the axe works on them to get many more sticks, the sickle is for wheat or corn, etc
With arrow notched in bow ready to fire you can press R to unload instead of firing the arrow.
That's good to know. I've been switching to a different slot to reset the bow.
Or you can hold shift and run a bit.. or you can press the number key for the bow.
Thank you but not sure i am able to send a text to anything other than a telephone number from Australia.
If you put doors for the windows the chance of wild animals seeing you is low (if the window doors are open), if closed they won't be able to see you.
Orbital missions don't unlock crafting. You'll need a specific prospect to unlock cave worm stuff
If you unlock flat bread it gives you a 5% exp bonus if you eat a bacon with it it stacks so you'd have 20% bonus, if you make the drying rack the meat afterwards will give you additional buff that stack so you'll be able to harvest more meat and skins when you go to harvest

Congratulations you’ve hit almost 500K subscribers Z1 (almost)
I love watching u play this game keep up the good work !!!
If you shift+click on the items in your inventory it will move all of the same stacks to the workbench/crate inventory
Shift and control if i remember correctly. I think just shift splits stack.
Not sure if its been said before but if you have already drawn and arrow you can cancel the shot by switching whats in your hand. (weapon swap as it were) That way you could insure that the arrow won't break.
Another way is to hit R to cancel a drawn bow.
if you light trees on fire, they will blacken and then you can get charcoal that way too when you chop them down
The scales are really heavy, thats another reason for not bothering with them.
If you really want to level fast I suggest snow wolves. They aren't much harder to kill and the exp is insane.
Sticks can be made in the woodworking bench
Steel screws are free at the mechanic bench
Sushi plate, couch, kombucha and Z's videos! Yippikaiee!

bones are the cheaper and faster option when making apoxy
Use the sickle for sticks
You can get Guns as rewards for doing missions from the board
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone
great video wish you upgrade the floor and pillars to stone
You can put the mortar on the workbench
zq u can leave you tools on your belt and repair when you are looking at anvil 😀
There is another cave that leads too two more caves
knife for bones and equipping the water skin and and air bag probably wouldnt hurt
The fact he unlocked the Air Bladder but never made it is hilarious.

Does the new furnace have the same ratio of iron ore to iron ingot as the old furnace?
Is the new map any good?? The old map had more trees this looks like it doesn't have much
Felt you should know at 30:08 there was a floating tree
You can use an axe on young baby trees to get more sticks but the wood>sticks is beyond worth it especially once you get a composted to make fuel as the ratio is 5 sticks to 1 portion of fuel but 1 wood to 1 portion of fuel so using 1 wood you can get double the sticks so more fuel
z1 u need to make window shads
Yes another icarus video you are amazing
Hey Z1, when insta-mining procced you got 1,374 stone. In ONE hit.
Would you ever consider going back to Dyson Sphere
z1 braking the bone with knife is faster them the pickaxe
Also the elixirs don't spoil
I wonder how long it takes you to make a laser gun in this game?
Never could understand why we need O2. The animals don’t need a spacesuit why do we??
Killing the gaiters and wolfs will give you the most exp.
Go mine a cave door for all the stones
wean you carry a kill animals will attack you case you have food killing a animal near your house will spawn more threats aka more alligators'.
i belive it is said "pesle" rather than "pestle"
Both are correct
you should play ark
First
Third
