  • Hello everyone, here I show you how you can easily crochet this great backpack yourself 😊 I use the following material for this:
    Leather bottom: amzn.to/3RGzSty
    T-Shirt yarn: amzn.to/3Iah2Yy (2 balls in the color moss green and thickness 5-7mm)
    Chain: amzn.to/3xaVQLP
    Bag strap for the straps: amzn.to/3RHhrVF
    Lock: amzn.to/429xMGw
    I work with a 3.5mm crochet hook, a darning needle for sewing the ends of the yarn and scissors.
    You will find all the material in my Amazon recommendations as well: www.amazon.de/...
    These links are so called affiliate links. This means that I get a few cents for each purchase, while the price stays the same for you. So if you like to order the material, it would be great if you use these links for it, so you support my channel at the same time - THANK YOU!❤️

    Absolutely love it!👍❤ You gave very clear instructions EXCEPT you didn't show how to sew the flap and straps onto it. Did you attach by weaving the flap to the backpack using a long tail of T-shirt yarn? I'd love to make this but I'm really confused about the sewing part of it.
    It IS a beautiful pack though! ❤️ And... if I can't figure out the sewing, I'll find a workaround via modifications. Thanks for this awesome tutorial. 👍🙏😊
    Edit: although I wasn't sure how to sew this backpack, you showed how to sew parts together in your beautiful purse tutorial so I'm no longer confused. Thanks so much! 👍😊

      Hey, thank you so much 😊❤️ especially in my earlier videos I struggled a lot to find a good balance between showing everything that is needed but not blowing up the video to much so I hope you will see my learning process in my current videos where (I think) I'm much more detailed about everything 😊 now in this case you already found your answer but if you have a question for another video, just leave a comment and in many cases, I will be able to guide you to another video where I picked up the topic and showed it more detailed 😊

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, I dont know where you are from but you can e.g. check this shop for Tshirt yarn: www.biskvit-germany.de/biskvit-textilgarn 😊 furthermore, there are good options on Etsy. If there is indeed no chance to get TShirt yarn, you could try a polyester macrame yarn (I would guess like 3mm thick) 🤔

    I'm a beginner and doing this right now! I just realized, are you working in a spiral for the body of the bag? You don't end the round with a slip stitch? Because I did about 10 rows and am noticing a visible seam. I don't mind undoing them so that there isn't a visible seam.

    • @catherinecrochet
      @catherinecrochet  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hey there, sorry for my late response - Yes, I just work in spirals here 😊 In my opinion this gives the "cleaner" look for the bag body (like you say, you notice a visible seam) but it has the disadvantage that you will have a height difference for the very last stitch as well. So you should start in an area of the bottom where you can "hide" your last stitch in the end (e.g. in the area where you sew the flap on in the end so that the flap will cover the stitch).

      I thought it was fairly easy to follow, though that part in particular I would call complex. You just have to slow the video and / or zoom in if you need to, and watch what she’s doing :)
