As valeon7303 mentioned in the comments, the explosive thrower is a Dafeng weapon and I completely overlooked it. Switch the pulse blade out for that, much more lore accurate.
Other preset improvement: I dont care if its ugly or lore accurate as long as its not sub optimal.(i still haven’t recover from seeing Sulla’s ENTANGLE with Snail’s head) Dafeng student pilot: the only thing wrong with this AC is that it isnt lore accurate.
I mean, they're both Arquebus heads so I don't really think that's a particularly big stretch to begin with lol, and tbh, I think the explosive thrower isn't much worse for the build in this case, except for against pulse shields/armor. Also, I do generally try to stick with original theme, which results in most of these builds retaining something I consider suboptimal.
They don't give the Taiyangshou because it's a pretty strong weapon if used right, so it's not something to be given to an early mission enemy. The other factor is that it is the signature weapon of Michigan. You'll notice that Michigan has the Verrill parts and Taiyangshou unique to him, and the Taiyangshou works way better when used with a tank or a hovering tetrapod, due to not being rooted when in use. Multiple major enemy ACs will have unique weapons found on them and no other ACs, like Rusty's Laser Slicer, Chatty's Delivery Boy, Pater's Kranich, Dolmayan's Kyorai, Brute's Bad Cook, and Raven's Piledriver. They wouldn't give the student pilot weapons that are hard to use, and also unique to him, as he's an early game enemy, and in lore is supposed to be inexperienced. The AC is a sample that they're suppose to test - it's Dafeng's in-house AC, so they were gonna take the kid (who was likely G13), put him through the paces as a newbie pilot with the Redguns, and evaluate the platform itself, with modifications done after they arrive at Redgun HQ. So obviously, the best time for Arquebus to deal with this AC and pilot would be to intercept them before the student pilot could get trained up, and the AC properly given a Redgun overhaul.
In a normal story, the Student Pilot beats 621 and goes on to become the real G13. An underdog who ends up becoming the main protagonist, carrying out the story in favor of Balem. But in reality he gets absolutely obliterated by 621 and isn't even a footnote in history
@@DarkstarArchangel Nah, Swinburne is no punching bag, he a sad sissy that gets to live only so I can duel Rokumonsen. All the other times he is just meat in a grinder.
It's similar to what I did on my own game, but I tried making it a PvP build and it ended up with dual Zimmermans and a shoulder bazooka.... It did work decently against people who run into you.
Isn't the explosive thrower a weapon made by dafeng? It's not the pulse blade, but it's a decent weapon (and plays into the whole explosive themes of defengs weapons), and I don't think it counts as a melee weapon so it's not impacted by the negative melee stat on the arms
Oh, yeah, you're totally correct. Somehow I completely overlooked that, despite the explosive thrower being one of my favorite weapons. Edit: I suppose you could still consider it a sort of nod to the orginal setup, but yeah, I much prefer the explosive thrower for this. I can't believe I forgot about it.
@Naisarias ah yeah that's what I thought you did. It's honestly a better setup for pve just because the pulse blade can fight pulse shields on things like Balteus and some of the Ghost mechs.

I am genuinely shocked that they didn’t give the Dafeng student pilot any Dafeng weapons. What a extremely easy mistake to fix.
Out favorite punching bag not-anime protagonist with a tune-in-line! all for the sake of Lore!
No, our favorite punching bag is Swinburne, not this poor guy.

Building all your acs fam 🎉 wish they were in a playlist but, as the good handler said… “handle it 621”

His callsign is definitely tester because of how many people test their build on him
May i suggest either G6 Red or G4 Volta? Since you already did Iguazu and Michigan

LETS GO.
Honestly I kept stopping the video on when Aster Crown uses his assault armor and I really wish it had a much larger radius.
0_0 From my comment in the Ayre video xd
Now can I ask again for the Trainer AC =)
