Dimitry Bivol's still the same ol' dude cool AF clear to see that he hasn't let the fame or the wealth go to his head - we love to see it good job fellas. 💪💪
I'm sure he's nice enough, learned and well-meaning, but for all of this new-age, highly theoretical training, there is no existential evidence, whatsoever, that it makes Bivol or anyone else a better fighter. That is, whether or not training in the simple, old-school tradition, which itself had been fostered and honed over a shit-ton of experience, both longitudinally through time and latitudinally across tens of thousands of fighters from every continent on Earth, would have served Bivol better is still an outstanding question that no one--not even the trainer here--can answer in a definitive way, let alone with confidence.
Why does this phenomenal channel only have 10k subscribers? If y'all got room for an extra man to promote your gym just say the word and I'll be there! Seriously tho I am an aspiring pro with almost ten years experience fighting in the amateurs and even training in the same room as a fighter at Bivol's caliber would be an absolute dream come true. Thanks for the great content.
not muscles, but power and strength are being trained there. I'd say your muscles can get bigger too with those trainings like your serratus anterior, lats, back, chest and shoulders
Genuine question: Is the strength n conditioning coach legit? Are these movements used a lot within boxing training? Im from a bodybuilding background so these movements and intensity levels seem very low to me.
S&C coach definitely needs his flowers! French contrast training bro. the static holds immediately followed by the explosive max effort pulls, extensions, presses etc. is the most scientifically backed method of increasing recruitment of short twitch muscle fibres. the little to no resistance is to mitigate fatigue since the movements are meant to be done at 100% intensity. Heavy lifting would be incorporated in a separate session or after the explosive stuff is done. This style of training has only been recently making its way into more mainstream athletic programs but it’s been a mainstay for throwing athletes since the 70s if i’m not mistaken and those guys are explosive as fuck Definitely look into it man, this shit will have you throwing weight around like nothing.
This was great to watch, better than the last BOXRAW film which was basically one long BOXROW catalogue promotion. th-cam.com/video/TDbPhllZhaY/w-d-xo.html
This is a great trainer! Notice how the trainer and Bivol are not swole but more like lean and fit, and that’s how a boxer is suppose to maintain their body imo. Frank Martin is swole and that’s horrible for boxing, notice for weigh ins yesterday his muscles were completely gone and he looked like thriller😂😂👎
He still doing all his boxing stuff too dummy; this is for integrating more power, speed snd explosiveness into his punches, which they believe they will need against Arthur; some like me believe, that if he cant get Arthurs respect, hes done sooner or later. - either way the man is goin for it. Big respect. ….
This guy defensive is weak for me his win against Canelo was because of weight class deference, if another guy hit him clean like his last fight its dust for him.
Yes they are. Except for the HW class, all boxers want to gain strength without gaining mass. So traditional weight lifting is not the best option for them. They do some weight exercises but it's always tuned for boxing purpose. Mostly explosive work.
@@snooz64 thanks for explanation makes sense. But do you think a 15 rep fast lat pulldown wouldn’t benefit them more back strength then pulling a static bar like there doing here?
@@MrJoe1627 I have to admit some of the exercises look a bit goofy, but I guess it has been tested over the years... The push things sound logical, I am not sure why they also need to be good at pulling. Keep the arms up may be, help the shoulders to handle big arms always up in the air with strong traps and upper back.
