- Part Four of an instructional video series describing the functions of Scalextric's new Advanced Digital 6 Car Powerbace (C7042).
Part Four describes how to set up and use the powerbase's Yellow Flag feature, which a group might use when a racer crashes, just like in real racing. This video also details the options in the Start End category, such as how the cars behave before and after a race, and how to prevent a pace car from entering the pit lane.
Enjoying the racing? Enjoy it more with people who share your enthusiasm! Look for a club, racing group, or even just another person with the same system near you to race with. It's easy! Check out a forum such as SlotCarIllustrated.com, or SlotForum.com, and look through their clubs and track listings. You might be surprised to find someone right around the corner to race with, or even a whole club of people! For example, I race with a club called the Digital Racing Alliance of Western Washington (DRAWW). Google it! :)
great series of videos. very educational. 'a job' very well done. Silv
Excellent work without your videos I don't think I would have ever have got it working .Thank you .
More please
The rest of the features, the manual that comes with it is rubbish. And the screen is shocking I'm sure for a few more pence it could have been so much better and easier to use.
@AussieDragonXP1 I haven't done an exhaustive check, but yes, every setting that I've paid attention to has been saved. I used this recently for a party where I set everything up at home, and at the party all I did was put the track together and press Start, and everything was as I had set it to be the day before.
@AussieDragonXP1 I am planning some other videos, but I was not planning one for the DPR system. Although I don't doubt that blindness can make that tricky, there's really no way to do it wrong.
Hi! I'm from Norway and love Scalextric slotcar racing! Your videos are so much helpfull! Could you upload more videos, please? I love your vids! Keep it up! :)
I have your 4 video's bookmarked on the computer in the garage, thank you for being so helpful
You're very welcome!
I pretty much covered all the built-in features, but I do plan to re-make the Basic mode video with more accurate/helpful information. I also have a video planned that explains controller calibration, which is the only major feature I didn't cover. If you have watched all my videos, please let me know if there is anything else I've left out.
Still waiting on video part 5.Other 4 were very helpful and enjoyable thanks
You're right, I need to get back to making these videos. I hopefully will get to it soon. Is there anything you think I need to cover in a future video?
Yes, show people how easy it is to change controllers (to be more enjoyable) or to connect it to USB on the computer
good stuff, next vid please.
pro trick: watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching loads of movies lately.
@Enoch Josiah yup, have been using Flixzone for since december myself :)
When i win a race theres no chequered flag until another car passes the finish line..
What kind of race are you running? What is your AtEnd option set to?
thanks for the quick reply. Its in F1 mode. at end i have tried both options.. when the winning car crosses the line there is a different kind of beep, it then takes for another car to cross the line for the chequered flag
How many cars are racing? How many laps? Is the second car on the same lap, or behind more than a lap?
ive tried all options 2 4 cars. various laps various positions
could be a bug, then. do you have the cable to update to the latest firmware?
Where is part 5?
Sorry, I got a job, lost my interest in all the editing needed for these videos, and now there's an entirely new base. Feel free to post questions, though. You can also find a LOT of help on slotforum.com
