Sculler. In the later frames of this video, is that a torpedo following the sculler? Credit where it's due, shows excellent stamina at a rate of 30 spm. Wonder why nobody has produced a video like this for the enjoyment of us dry-land rowers to watch while toiling away on our Concepts.
How did you do? Liked that you held of the other single at the end.... Also liked you're getting coaching tips on TH-cam videos from Xeno.... What camera and app did you use... can you send me a link. I'm in Sydney and would love to show the rowing community what a great piece of water Middle Harbour is for rowing.
So cool! Just the thing to watch when I am tired and have to drag myself out for training. The course looks very nice; relatively straight, or is that just an illusion of the camera angle? I see that you had to row it mostly on your own, with no competitors in sight, or is that again just the camera lens not showing the trailing singles well. Looks like you nearly pegged that first swan LOL.
I do sound like I'm dying don't I! :) tbf this was the second division I had raced in the single in this day, earlier I had done the same course in IM1 so I was a little tired
Is it hard to learn to scull? I row lifeguard whale boats and sweep in 8's and 4's. Any tips on learning because I will be purchasing a wintech 1x soon.
Yes it is, they're excellent and really useful if you happen to do a lot of crew boats as well as sculling, easy to switch between boats and accurate on rate
I love watching the video while doing my rowing exercises. I wish there were more like this available, very motivational.

Maybe one at slightly less than 30+ strokes..... Ahh wait a minute - (changes speed settings to 0.5)... perfect.
1:34 You could have had a nice swan dinner if you where 20 centimetres closer to the bank. :)
Excellent effort! You make it look easy...
this is really cool..you should do more like this
Haha, nice dodge on that swan at 1:34 :P
@EvanEatsPie Because the race is into the (quite strong) stream, which means the fastest line is to stay out of the stream and into the bank
Fantastico, wonderful to watch! Well done
The camera is a pair of sunglasses, camsports coach they are called
Love the clip, i miss rowing really bad.
You cannot row anymore?
I love it! Great weather too
Very cool!!!
I spot a technical issue that you can easily adjust!!!!
Xeno
The sculler opens his back too early. Chances are he does the same with the arms and ends up under utilizing the legs. All that can easily be fixed.
what a great row!

great vid!
@jakedavidson100: the pace you can keep on the erg has very little to do with what's possible on the water.

awesome video!! how did you do?
Thank you for this
What's the issue, Xeno? Great camera - want!
Filippi boat?
Wow, you were not conditioned for this race, not a bit.

skyeric875 kinda late but did u eventually scull and what tips do u recommend to new scullers?
persist and do drill
fine!
Is that an Active Tools Monitor? How do you like it?
Yes it is, they're excellent and really useful if you happen to do a lot of crew boats as well as sculling, easy to switch between boats and accurate on rate
where did u get the camera? also, how did u record the data through ur iphone?
What boat is that?
Very cool. I would've slammed into the bank for sure.
what app is it?
I don't think you could ever be conditioned for a singles race. The whole thing is just horrible
