I cannot express how perfect this video is. I'm buying the part from you instead of the box store.
It's clear, concise, and through. I can clearly see each step in the process. You point out helpful observations, steps and recommendations without going off on a tangent. I watched this whole video and I did not once feel the urge to skip ahead. Nor did I think, "Wait, how did they do that?". I will watch any video you make about anything. Thank you kindly.

5-STAR Rating! This was by far the most complete and accurate video on how to do this repair I have seen on TH-cam. I particularly liked your demonstration of how to install the outer bellows clamp. The number one complaint I have seen posted by others attempting to do this repair is that the outer clamp is a royal pain in the a** to install. You made it easy! Many thanks!
What made it even better for me was the washer you used in the video is the same washer I have in my home. 🤠- Richie

All I can say is Matt must have Super Hero arm strength. I was able to do everything he showed us, except for re-installing that wire/spring on the front of the bellows. I tried for hours and just could not do it. Someone recommended using needle nose pliers, put them through the connecting “hole” in the wire and pull the pliers toward the side, similar to what Matt does with the vice grips. I then used some plastic spanners ( for mounting bicycle tires onto rims), and that helped slip the wire over the rim the rest of the way. I’m running a test load now and so far no leaks. Thank you for making this video!

Great job Matt! This is the second time in 13 years I’ve replaced the bellows seal. The latest seal I purchased is a different type of rubber…don’t know what it is but it’s stickier and seems like it’s a better material for a seal. You guys keep making these great how tos and I’ll keep buying your parts.

Best vid on this subject! Up close videos w/commentary. Figuring out the proper alignment of the bellow is WAY more difficult than it appears to be due do the multiple grooves. Take pics of current bellow before removal for reference. Well done!

At 6:45 make sure to seat the new seal on the *inner* lip as well. This isn't mentioned anywhere in the video.
Also, my washer has a hose and fill port on the top of the bellows. There is a plastic nozzle that needs to be removed from the old bellows and moved to the new one. It's easy to overlook until you try and reattach the hose.
Lastly, there are a set of drain holes at the bottom make sure to exactly align these drain holes on the seal and the machine before tightening the clamp. Even if you line up the top of the bellows as shown, the drain holes may be misaligned.

Use golf tees in the bottom holes for the drain to align properly to the washer otherwise you’ll have to take it off later and put it back on if they’ve moved but the golf tees hold it very secure

Great video. Very clear and easy to follow. However, you seem to have omitted one step. There is a third lip on the bellow that needs to be fitted to the plastic shroud that surrounds the drum. I performed this step last after everything had been put back together, and it was very easy to do. There is no clamp for this third lip - it's just an easy press fit. But seems a fairly critical step and I can't help wondering if this was inadvertently edited out of the video...
At least that was the case on my machine. Could be that this does not apply on all machines.

Glad you found the video helpful! And thank you for the tip about your particular model. A single part can be compatible with hundreds of different appliances. We film the part on a single appliance model to serve as an example of the repair, but there may be slight variations in the process for different models.

Notice that they edited out the 20 minutes of swearing and slamming when Matt installed the new boot. Many of these guys suggest putting a lubricant (dishwasher soap) on the boot so it slips on easily. DON'T DO IT!. I put a little dishwasher soap on just the BOTTOM of washer door rim. That way the boot doesn't slip off when I start at the top and work around. Once I got it on about halfway, I found that I could lean my shoulder against one side leaving both hands free to work the other side. I also found by reaching inside the drum I could pull the boot inward to make it slip over the rim. Once it's on, don't mess with it. Get that band on fast and tighten.
Regarding the outer spring band. They sell a tool for about $45. Don't waste your money. The key is keeping the band deep in its slot. As you work around and it's 2/3 on, stretch the spring by pulling on the band while holding the other side of the spring. Two people can do this better. If you can't grip the band/spring, tie a strong string in the spring loop and make a handle for the other end of the string from a piece of tubing. Once you get the band on carefully cut the string off the spring.

Great video. Only thing I'd add is a side note to clean the drain trap, behind the lower panel, while you're in there. I was amazed at what I found in there, from my kids' pockets. When it gets clogged, you'll see an R code on the digital display and it won't drain. It's pretty disgusting to have to repair with a full load of dirty water in there.

If the spring on the outer gasket ring is old and crusty from detergent like mine was, you can go to a hardware store (not a big box!) and get a replacement one for peanuts - < $3. This will allow you to stretch the clamp over the gasket.

When I installed the door seal, there’s a gap between the seal and the drum after securing it around the drum. What did I do wrong? Your video shows no gap there. Water will definitely leak thru there when filling.
    Please advice. Thank you.

At 10:03 when he's pulling on the spring clamp and using both hands to hold the vise grips there must be someone else out of camera view holding the top of the spring clamp, otherwise it would have slipped off of the door seal. However, I just noticed that this video was made in 2016, so it's possible that the door bellow seal on the 2019 washer that I'm working on (which is more floppy and made from thinner rubber than the older door seals) is made from a type of rubber that has low frictional resistance and therefore doesn't hold the spring clamp in place as you stretch the spring.

This guy wasted 15 minutes of me trying to install the seal. It’s 100 times easier starting at bottom center, lining up the drain holes, and then feeding the inner lip of the seal inside between the drum and the plastic drum cover. Feed the seal halfway up to the right, then halfway up to the left, and then keep going until you finish at top center.
