I'm so grateful for these explanations + especially for being so clear about the units! I tend to reach a problem, realize I don't have the appropriate equation memorized, and then try to do dimensional analysis, but always get stuck on these types of questions because I also forget the unit conversions! I'm testing in 2 weeks! Thank you!
Thank you so much!! Also, I have one quick question. Is the Nernst equation important on the MCAT? Do I need to worry about it? Do you mind telling me what I should focus on involving Nernst? Thank you in advance!!
The way I've seen the Nernst equation come up on the MCAT is in questions that ask us to determine the Gibb's Free Energy (deltaG) of an electrochemical cell. I actually go over this version of the Nernst equation at the end of this video: th-cam.com/video/PscoxVdwkSk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rYIbO-kgNsL9e0o1 Otherwise, it's just good to know that the full Nernst Equation can help us identify the variables that can affect the overall cell potential - I've never seen an AAMC equation that would ask you to calculate this, but it's always good to have a conceptual understanding of the relationship between the variables!

Best of luck on your test!
I hope it went well!
Thank you. Testing this Saturday.
Good luck! And let me know how it goes!
