    Dear Andreas,
    I watched all your videos, not once, but twice, alongside my driving practice at Fahrschule. Your videos, both lessons with Reeta series and real exam series, are very helpful to anyone who would like to get familiar with road rules in Germany.
    I'm happy to share I got my drivers license in my first attempt this week.
    Thanks once again and cheers!

    Hello Andy. Thanks for another video. Can you explain a bit more about the failed situation? Was the road getting slippery that the car moved away to the right or was it just the lack of concentration as the test was coming towards the end? Thanks.

    • @GermanDrivingSchool
      @GermanDrivingSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It was lack of concentration. We've had 20-23 minutes exam running (rolling time around 16 minutes). A broad lane. Just following car in front of us with the speed of 40km/h. He didn't even get the information about the number of exit for the roundabout. No distraction. No slippery road. Just his hands were controlling the car too far to the right side and I needed to control it back to the center of our lane before scratching/destroying both right wheels 🥴

  • @asedefp175

    Two question. 4:06 why 100, not 130? 2:17 no sign for 100 how to know it is 100km/h? How can avoid the failure by driving a little slow as the road is snowy? How slow might one drive on this road? Thank you, Andy.

    • @Lukas-bg4yn
      @Lukas-bg4yn ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is no speed limit at 4:06, so you are allowed to drive 130. I believe he meant 100 as the general speed you should accelerate towards to merge onto the highway, so that the cars coming from behind are not too fast. Remember, the right lane is the slowest lane and usually has many trucks that are not allowed to drive that fast, so 130 is usually not needed when merging.
      At 2:17, the implied speed limit is 100 because you outside of city limits. It's the default outside of city limits if there is no other speed sign, just like 50 inside city limits. You can see the "leaving city" sign at 1:55 on the left, but to be honest this is a bit weird, it's not placed well. Since the road is in the middle of nowhere it's a pretty safe assumption you are outside of a city though (but always check for signs to be safe).
      I don't have experience driving in snow, but generally if the weather is quite bad, you should double your distance to the driver in front of you to be safe.

    That is why as when immigrating from the US to Europe, you begin with Switzerland. Most cantons will give you a Swiss driving license for your US car and motorcycle license. Then - if you still want to move to Germany, you can exchange your Swiss license to a German/EU one. Case closed.

    Hallo,
    I am from India and new here in Germany ,I have Indian driving licence upto Trucks and Buses from 2015, How can I Convert my Indian License to German?

    • @vivek4634
      @vivek4634 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You cannot directly convert your Indian driving licence to the German one. But you can translate your driving licence and then give it to a driving school. You will also need to register and attend a class on first aid and safety. Then you can register for your theory exam and also start the practical classes. Then you will need to clear both exams to get your driver's license as we do in India. The only concession for having an Indian licence is you can skip the theory classes. Both theory and practical exams are required.
      I just got my license yesterday after doing all this and spending around 3000 euros. (I required a lot of practical lessons and one class costs around 125 euros). I think it will be higher if you want to take the heavy vehicle licence.
