I found this song when I was in my early teens and years later I always return to listen to it. There’s something so haunting and unique about it. Something mysterious, esoteric, almost out of this world. I’ve never heard any other song that resembles me of it.
I listened to the remake of this one first. Imo (perhaps its the different key?) but this version feels more triumphant whilst the remake feels like the singer is still lost, probably because of the more washed out feeling. Both very good and interesting!
Analysis of some the lyrics cuz this one of my fav songs :p thanks for reading ヽ(;▽;)ノ Overall I think it’s about an unstable couple eloping. “Bored in their heads, i don’t know.. mhmmm” - “their” makes this a hard line to interpret since it’s kind of hard to tell who the people involved are - “Their” could be referring to this couple and how the world has become dull to them (maybe relating to the later line “Fascination, without what we are” ) with “I don’t know” being either a bit coy or the singer genuinely doesn’t know why - Aside from interpreting this line literally, it could be ‘to bore’ as in to make a hole - Could be rigid social ideas that are in people’s heads or perhaps the plans to elope are firm in the couple’s heads or perhaps the singer is nonchalantly announcing how he caved in two people’s heads - Or it could be a mix of all these ideas “Dark. If you try on holding the rare Chance.” - you’ll be filled with regrets (that’s how I interpreted dark here due to a later line) if you keep holding but not committing to your desires (in this case eloping) “Some never run” - Some lovers don’t commit to eloping like the singer. - Some of their friends are loyal enough to stick by these lovers “but me and her are Down, into ourselves, I seem to ignore, the whole world” - These two tune out the world and fall deeper into each others illusions - It also seems that the singer is prideful, only thinking of himself “Faith, make me safe, I will be gone for long” - The singer commits to eloping with his lover but is still not fully confident in it “Never rushing to stay away from me I brush you, then kiss your neck and kneel” - pretty obvious, a show of the lovers’ loyalty to each other “Separation, to keep away from me” - I think the singer has something in his nature he has to repress (perhaps violent tendencies, who knows) which scared the both of them and leads to his lover becoming distant “A close death To separate this, come face the door with me” - The death may be of another person or the singer’s sense of self? - I believe the door symbolises the boundary between the singer’s projected self and inner self - The singer may be trying to change for the better by opening up the door “Hold on This is how we do this burst, only pushing forward” - I will note this line sounds like ‘how we do our best” to me as well - “Hold on” here makes it seem his lover is starting to have regrets and the singer is comforting her - “Burst” feels to me like they’re both uncontrollable and unpredictable in nature - They also try not to dwell on their past actions, only carrying on mindlessly “Time to let me fight with our remorse Let me fight for our love, execution: two, we are” - pretty obvious again, the singer ends up doing something regrettable (perhaps murdering two people who want to stop them?) - “Our remorse” indicates his lover is starting to have regrets as well but he fronts a nonchalant attitude to keep them together - The way the “we are” is kept in this line but obviously applies to the next one (idk poetry terms sorry) is probably to emphasise how detached and lonely the couple are now “Dark from lack of sleep, often tired, so cold” - reminds me of Macbeth where the titular couple are unable to sleep due to their guilt and as a result grow insane - “Cold”, a lack of love now? “Proof that makes you see that we’ve been harmed to be” - their fate as lovers is cemented “Comprehension, that takes the heads from the sea” - I feel like “sea” here is metaphorical way of referring to a crowd and the singer is talking about how they’re carefully selecting their aquaintances “Hyper tension, to keep the hidden in me” - It’s straining for the singer to hide things (could be secrets, shame, power etc) - Could also mean his lover is struggling to keep him in check “Assimilation, who says that, “what will you do?”” - might be a bit of a stretch but it might relate to the idea of assimilating the shadow self which involves acknowledging both your positive and negative traits in order to accept and forgive yourself “The pride should fall” - Feels reminiscent of the proverb ‘pride comes before the fall” - Could be more like the name for a social unit of lions, as in social structures should fall
and worse rendition in my opinion. He cleaned up the song too much. The noise, hazy feel of this original version gives personality to the song. Modern version almost feel made by a machine
by any chance do you have a little, cough cough, mp3 of it just laying around? 👀 I can't find the album anywhere it doesn't seem like it's available for purchase anymore :(
Wow what a song.

same!! I was so sad when I saw that it wasn't on Spotify anymore :( I wonder why it's gone from there
I listened to the remake of this one first. Imo (perhaps its the different key?) but this version feels more triumphant whilst the remake feels like the singer is still lost, probably because of the more washed out feeling. Both very good and interesting!
Wait I might end up liking this more than '18

I simply could not disappoint thousands of my subscribers :)
Nice
Analysis of some the lyrics cuz this one of my fav songs :p thanks for reading ヽ(;▽;)ノ
Overall I think it’s about an unstable couple eloping.
“Bored in their heads, i don’t know.. mhmmm”
- “their” makes this a hard line to interpret since it’s kind of hard to tell who the people involved are
- “Their” could be referring to this couple and how the world has become dull to them (maybe relating to the later line “Fascination, without what we are” ) with “I don’t know” being either a bit coy or the singer genuinely doesn’t know why
- Aside from interpreting this line literally, it could be ‘to bore’ as in to make a hole
- Could be rigid social ideas that are in people’s heads or perhaps the plans to elope are firm in the couple’s heads or perhaps the singer is nonchalantly announcing how he caved in two people’s heads
- Or it could be a mix of all these ideas
“Dark. If you try on holding the rare Chance.”
- you’ll be filled with regrets (that’s how I interpreted dark here due to a later line) if you keep holding but not committing to your desires (in this case eloping)
“Some never run”
- Some lovers don’t commit to eloping like the singer.
- Some of their friends are loyal enough to stick by these lovers
“but me and her are Down, into ourselves, I seem to ignore, the whole world”
- These two tune out the world and fall deeper into each others illusions
- It also seems that the singer is prideful, only thinking of himself
“Faith, make me safe, I will be gone for long”
- The singer commits to eloping with his lover but is still not fully confident in it
“Never rushing to stay away from me I brush you, then kiss your neck and kneel”
- pretty obvious, a show of the lovers’ loyalty to each other
“Separation, to keep away from me”
- I think the singer has something in his nature he has to repress (perhaps violent tendencies, who knows) which scared the both of them and leads to his lover becoming distant
“A close death
To separate this, come face the door with me”
- The death may be of another person or the singer’s sense of self?
- I believe the door symbolises the boundary between the singer’s projected self and inner self
- The singer may be trying to change for the better by opening up the door
“Hold on This is how we do this burst, only pushing forward”
- I will note this line sounds like ‘how we do our best” to me as well
- “Hold on” here makes it seem his lover is starting to have regrets and the singer is comforting her
- “Burst” feels to me like they’re both uncontrollable and unpredictable in nature
- They also try not to dwell on their past actions, only carrying on mindlessly
“Time to let me fight with our remorse Let me fight for our love, execution: two, we are”
- pretty obvious again, the singer ends up doing something regrettable (perhaps murdering two people who want to stop them?)
- “Our remorse” indicates his lover is starting to have regrets as well but he fronts a nonchalant attitude to keep them together
- The way the “we are” is kept in this line but obviously applies to the next one (idk poetry terms sorry) is probably to emphasise how detached and lonely the couple are now
“Dark from lack of sleep, often tired, so cold”
- reminds me of Macbeth where the titular couple are unable to sleep due to their guilt and as a result grow insane
- “Cold”, a lack of love now?
“Proof that makes you see that we’ve been harmed to be”
- their fate as lovers is cemented
“Comprehension, that takes the heads from the sea”
- I feel like “sea” here is metaphorical way of referring to a crowd and the singer is talking about how they’re carefully selecting their aquaintances
“Hyper tension, to keep the hidden in me”
- It’s straining for the singer to hide things (could be secrets, shame, power etc)
- Could also mean his lover is struggling to keep him in check
“Assimilation, who says that, “what will you do?””
- might be a bit of a stretch but it might relate to the idea of assimilating the shadow self which involves acknowledging both your positive and negative traits in order to accept and forgive yourself
“The pride should fall”
- Feels reminiscent of the proverb ‘pride comes before the fall”
- Could be more like the name for a social unit of lions, as in social structures should fall

This is awesome as fuck
So Hallucination '18 from the Rabbit EP is basically a remake version of this song?
and worse rendition in my opinion. He cleaned up the song too much. The noise, hazy feel of this original version gives personality to the song. Modern version almost feel made by a machine
