There are a few tutorials for this online, yours is one of the better ones ( clear instructions and enjoyable ) however, lose the background music, it's distracting. thanks for sharing
Hello! This tutorial is super helpful, thanks so much for posting! I really like your version of the jacket. I was wondering if you knew what type of fabric you used for the outside and lining? Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your comment! I went back through some extra footage not included in this video and found that the outside bolt is labeled "Sportswear: Biking; Red Wrinklease". It's 100% cotton. I believe that this can be found on the Joann's website under Sew Classic Bottomweight Wrinklease Fabric, and the color is biking red. The lining is a sweatshirt fleece solid, 85% polyester, 15% cotton. I think this is on Joann's website as Sweatshirt Fleece Fabric Charcoal Sweatshirt. Let me know if you have any other questions and if you make a jacket I'd love to see it :)
Lovely tutorial! I have a question about sizing and ease. What pattern size did you chose and what size clothing do you normally wear? Did you choose a bigger size or the amount of easy is just very big? Thank you!
Sorry for the late reply! When buying clothes I typically wear a size small in most tops, sometimes a medium forhoodies and jackets. I have always used a size 12 for pattern making. This has worked very well for me for tops, dresses, and jackets (I still haven’t figured out pants...) For tops, I go mostly off the bust measurement. The pattern size 12 is a 34” bust which is the bra size I wear. If you measure yourself, the patterns have been pretty true to that in my experience. Most modern patterns use the same sizing so once you figure out what size you are, you can keep using that. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
