Those sounds are pre-recorded sound files - he took some from an RC car website video, he is mining the motions to match the rev sounds so of course you could have ANY sounds put in and then you'd have to mime to them. You can see he is not accurate in the throttle motions or blower valve movement-to-sound here.
Talk about interference lol gotta run no heads at all to clear those pop up pistons haha awesome work as always. That’s one of the servos I mentioned a while back! Maybe you’re the reason they’re $2 instead of $1 now haha

He didn't really sync anything, he has to move the controls to match the pre-recorded sounds - his movements make the actuators move the parts is all.
