When filling the system with concentrated coolant, using distilled (not purified) water is worth it for your mix - will help keep the corrosion down compared to minerals in city or well water. Get it from the grocery store for $0.99 a gallon. Still cheaper than buying pre-mixed coolant.

Make sure that upper radiator hose has a secure bracket. If the hose shakes going down the road it will weaken the upper hose port. I learned that on my M-11 Sterling Dump Truck. TD Atlanta
It's always like that making new with old stuff! Done that once too many times with computers and houses! Good job Matt, continue your excellent videos showing what's like to really work with old stuff... it's not fun and games all the time!
16:17 "Only 27 and not quite as limber as I used to be, I just pulled something climbing up here." Too funny Matt. I'm almost 69 and I pulled something just watching you haul out the old radiator. Well look at it this way, you'll have an easier time with the new radiator to flush and change the coolant. Neighbor across the street from me has a Boston terrier and it body surfs on the exercise ball they have for it. I reckon Meatball might have a problem doing that.😳🐶😂. Great episode and it was good seeing your Dad give you an expert hand. I look forward to the next. Ugh antifreeze everywhere. I hate radiator repair. Old trick you could try next time your in need of a quick fix; separate the fins around the area of the leak, pinch the leaky core together (you can even cut it and fold it over), soldier the hemmed section shut on both ends at the cut. It works great, but is only a temporary fix because the radiators are usually rotten and start leaking everywhere. New is the way to go, stinks it was so pricey. I enjoyed the video!
