FYI Luggage capacity win goes to BMW (65 liter for SG vs 66 liter for BMW). I think you looked up top case size which is 49l. Having both bikes, I can tell you there is one clear winner for heading on a long distance ride. The winner handles better, is far more powerful, has a height adjustable windshield, weighs 250lbs less, and has an adjustable suspension. Love them both though!
Gee. OK. Handling? Please! Tech? Please! Don't believe this because the BMW is much more refined. The RT is truly a much better bike overall unless you just have Harley loyalty.
The minute you gave both bikes a 4 for handling and tried to claim the handling of the street glide was as good as the 1250RT I knew there was no way you had rode both bikes. The new Harley’s are nice but the RT blows the street glide away in handling. You also can’t jack up the price of the RT and claim you can’t buy one for that price and then not give the RT credit for the Adaptive Cruise Control which you would get at the higher price. Oh and good luck getting a Street Glide at MSRP.
Not really. Nobody that rode those two bikes would say they handle the same. Did you just ride them in a straight line??? The SG weighs about 200lbs more than the RT. That fact alone means they probably won’t handle the same. Add on that the Harley is top heavy while the RT carries its weight low. The RT practically turns itself and is so well balanced I thought the thing was going to stay standing at a complete stop. No comparison.
@@rosterland130 Have you ridden the new Street Glide? Don't go by what the numbers show. You'd be surprised. You're right about the RT being very well balanced, and almost standing straight by itself. Do you like the RT more than the K1600?
I’ve road a SG several times and was considering getting one until I rode an RT and felt the RT was a much better bike. I have not rode a 1600 yet but plan to then decide which of those two to get.

Not many talking points, just opining. Didn't included braking performance; pretty damn important.

It is science.
Total rubbish. Owned both. BMW twice the bike and half the price.
Sorry you don't believe in science.

The footage of me riding both bikes is not proof enough?
