I converted my T-Maxx 3.3 to electric using the Castle Mamba Monster X and 2200KV motor combo. Assembled my own E-Maxx brushless gearbox part by part, because as you said you're lucky to find them pre-assembled. Not even Jenny's RC had them. I bought adapter plates to put that gearbox on the chassis. I was able to reach 52mph with it before it pulled its wheels up and flipped outta control. It was quite fast and still had plenty of low-end torque to pull wheelies at almost any speed. Problem was the center driveshafts. Not even the 3.3 plastic shafts could hold up to the power on 4S. I tried finding custom steel dogbones for the centers but ran into a dead end. I still have it as a roller but I ended up buying a Maxx roller on Ebay and put all my T-Maxx's electronics into it instead. It's a tough little truck!

I have 2 brushless converted tmaxxes! A .15 and a 3.3. the spektrum firma 150a combo that goes into the arrmas is perfect. 3s-6s capable but I only ever run 3s and 4s when I'm feeling really crazy. It's a 2050kv motor. There isn't a better system for them I think.
hey buddy! Yes, you're right! They are completely different in terms of chassis than the regular t-maxx 3.3. I purchased this from somebody else, so that's what it is, you know! Plus those were originally built to run an electric system, this one is totally different.
I’m trying to understand why you can’t run the 2speed transmission with the electric conversion kit? I’m sure there’s a way to get the tmax transmission to shift with the electric motor

Hey bro,stiil waiting you come watch my nitro fleet ;-) However, in respect of this video, Electric converted Revo: You need to adjust the timing on your ESC in order that the cogging effect while pushing the full trottle is eliminated,the cogging which you are experience is due the incorrect timing.The appropriate Timing for this kind of motors should be around 12° (wit exception of proper Combos with especial programs like the Hobbywing Car combo ones ). The 3674 inrunner 4 pole engine isn"t weak and the Kv is perfect for this motor size, but is appropriate for much higher voltages..Usually this type of 3674 size engines are rated to a max no load RPM of 50.000 RPM ,so you can run it with an apropriate ESC with 5S lipo ,than its gona run like crazy. The load RPM"s should be about at least somewhere about 85% ,if its lower than that you will overload your engine,because it"s a sign that it isn"t reach the RPM where it wants to spinn,this results on a thermal overload! The Motors temperature shouldn"t ever exceed the 80° C /175F because exceding this temperature will result in a irreversible damage of the internal magnets. Anyway,as I heard you have only 2 S lipos at home,however you could connect them in series to at least 4S :-) T-MAXX: It is simply an epic Truck,love them!!!
Wish i had a 4s and a big pinion to donate so you culd make that toaster tmaxx do backflips🙌🙌😁😁. The caddy body alone makes up for the elec components🤷♂️🤷♂️
whats my dude! I'm working on making that electric t-maxx drivable. Turns out I ordered a giant pinion and it does not fit. The guy who built this made some shitty decisions in how to mount stuff, and if you look closely there are actually 2 different motor mounts being used, it's so weird. So the offset on the pinion and the length of the motor shaft are all causing clearance issues. I have to fully rebuild all this shit now..
You are definitely on to it with the gear ratio, The toaster maxx will actually go a lot quicker just with a change to a much bigger pinion, I run an e-revo on 3S with a 2600kV 3674 chinese brushless motor and it wheelies like mad and top speed is close to nitro, maybe 5mph short. I actually like the 3S setup as it does not have that over the top torque which breaks the old school diffs.
hey buddy! In general it's safe to run under 260 degrees. Ideally you want to tune for 220-240 range at best. These engines tend to run hot when running at full throttle repeatedly so I tend to tune to compensate for that with an extra RICH tune, that's why you can clearly see the motor bogs down until it warms up..
That electric converted tmaxx is faster by far lol, however if its 4s capable then two options a=4s, b= 3s=gear it higher especially if kv is low then 3s isnt providing volts to get rpm. But heard you mention this as this was wrote replied after you said was slow but nice truck u aint wrong for adoption 😎
That lower kv motor in the tmaxx needs a bigger pinion and a 4s will wake that tmaxx up lol the hobbywing max8 combo would probably be perfect for the tmaxx. The max6 would probably be to much and the max10 probably not enough.

Underpowered with that esc and motor. It needs 4s but it also needs a larger 2200kv motor and a mamba monster or hobbywing max 8. That traxxas esc is garbage too...
hey man! I will admit the ESC is super annoying and impossible to program, but it runs well and stays cool. Anyway, this system is fully capable of running 4S, I just do not own one. Problem is it needs a proper gear ratio or a much higher KV motor. The person who built this setup must not have understood the requirements of building something like this, you know.

try switching 2 of the wires on the motor to the ESC it migh be running revirse might be faster then

The emaxx and erevo brushless edition came with 2200kv 1515 size motors and the mxl6s esc is a castle mamba monster 2.

Sounds like one of the axles is cracked and one of your motor wires is in the wrong spot or you have the channel reversed on the esc and remote.
