✨SIDE NOTE : I get a lot of questions about my stretched ears, how I got them to this size (currently 1 inch!) etc. One thing I always say is LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, and take your time when stretching. Personally, I love ear stretching kits because they take the guess work out. Everything’s laid out for you and they’re super easy to stretch with!✨

I’m new to interlocking. I only have 50 locs but I worry that they won’t be as thick as I want them to be. Comparing the part of the loc that is two strand twisted to the part that is newly interlocked; the newly interlocked section seems so much smaller. I don’t know if it just needs to actually loc and thicken up or if it will remain that way. I love everything about interlocking but I worry my roots won’t thicken up like the rest of the loc. 😩

Hi Shalieah! They will definitely thicken up more than they appear initially in time, once more shed hairs start to get incorporated into it. However, it may never be exactly AS thick as the two strand twisted ends (which I started with too and my ends are slightly thicker as well); this is because the act of interlocking actually BINDS the hairs more tightly together than any other locking method, hence why it appears slightly smaller. But this isn’t due to loc weakening, just the knot-like binding together of the hairs that interlocking does. Hope this helps! 🙂💚

@@MargauxChanel That makes sense! Thanks for your reply. Definitely helps. I just have to relax and trust the process. 💖

Margaux, there was a hair charm in a video you did a couple years ago, can I still purchase one?

      Hi Kassadra,
Yes! I’m actually working on creating more loc jewelry now and will post a video about it when they are finally finished and ready for sale!
Which charm were you referring to exactly, btw?? So that I can make more of them!
