All tuned to perfection by Mr. Harrison. Keep up the good work !

When I was in my 20's/30's, that gear whine was the shit...but after a while, I got tired with not being able to have a conversation inside of my car without yelling or not being able to hear my tunes without cranking it up to 11, so helical cut gears for me these days! (when I get my next vortech that is) :P
I used to own a aod car painted it mid night blue. It was just full bolt on 390 gears and a shot of spray. Did great on the street remember racing plenty of lt1 and ls1 Bad ass time
Such a classic setup. Looks and sounds amazing! Makes me wanna build another Fox with an old school V1 Vortech! A lil trick for the radiator is a flat piece of cardboard to save the tubes and fins from a wrench, etc. And the engine driven fan robs a little hp but it moves some air. Electric fans have lots of benefits like only running when needed, reduced parasitic drag, etc but mechanical fans are hard to beat for airflow. Just look at what the big rigs run or say a 6.7l diesel in a Super Duty. There’s good reason they’re mechanical fans!
Back in the 90’s, I had a 1993 notch with a 331ci built by JBA w/ a V1 S-Trim, had it upgraded by Vortech with HD bearings (and gear if I remember correctly). For the weight, that things was Ludacris on the road. But I tell you what, 24ish years ago, my happy memory was cold starts with the lunati blower cam lumping hard and that eff’ing *ZIP-ZIPPP-Zipp* so loud I got nasty-grams on my door from neighbors 3-5 houses down the road asking me to not idle it so long in the morning because of the “high pitch sound it ls making” 😀🦅🇺🇸 greatest 1990’s performance sound on the planet.

You should remove the factory fan and go with a single electric fan . It works awesome with a 3 core + gives you more HP . I'd start off with the 8in pulley for the charger . You gas pump can handle that .

Be careful spacing the fan out from the WP, I’ve snapped two top shelf WP shafts when I ran only one Motorsport spacer (let alone multiple washers). It’ll take your radiator out too. 10 rib pulleys aren’t that friendly. If you do switch to electric, I did a video on the contour fan and a 10 rib/big rad…spoiler *it fit*, barely. Straight cut gears are pure music!
Call me crazy, but I just put an 81 on mine today. 351, ps, alt, wp, a/c, no under drives. Ill go 81.5 if it ejects but I think itll eat. Youd think mine would be way longer, mine mustve been an uncalibrated tape measure. Love that blower setup.

I like my stock fan as well I do have a electric one. But I'd have to wire it in solid or it's own switch and I really don't Want either. But I'm in the works or putting a v1 or a v2 on my 306 fcam and heads intake fox. I have a spray kit but I'm not gonna use it.

my foxbody went from normal idle and jumped up to 1500 ish rpms, died then started again and this time was jumping from 200-300 rpm. any idea what it could possibly be?
Was it just random or after you put a supercharger on it? If you messed with anything in the engine I’d give the Idle air control a shot, this guy has a video on how to adjust it if you look up “rough fox body idle” it should pop up
@@ayzayahhartfield1546 no supercharger. it started acting like this after a year or so of sitting. engine ran and idled perfect before. ima give MAF and IAC a clean to see if thats where the issue is.
I don’t like the extra wiring honestly. Just something else that can fail. But I’m not totally against them if it’s needed. Hopefully we can get away without one.
You could use a msd relay in combination with the holley to turn on and off...haven't seen anybody cover that yet other than Matt showing a few things with temp settings

Not sure I would trust the washers on the fan..but if it works it works.
Contour fans with a Dakota digital controller, this is what I run with my vortech. If the controller ever quits the fans defaults to come on.
