It’s really about making sure you’re doing your swing the same exact position with the right timing, if you have good reflex memory this one will be a breeze
I think a hit does count if the horizontal velocity (not vertical) is more than a certain limit, making the white lines useless. That would explain the times that a ball going very high but not far do not count even though it is going straight forward or in a good direction and it would also explain how good hits are counted when it is supposed to be foul ball
