That first one looked very fern like as it's trunk. With details of layers in stripes and brecciated sections. I think there were blues in it too.. very jealous right now :p
I feel like that first agate is the highest quality montana agate I have found in the Billings area so far this summer. When the sun hits this agate...wow, phenomenal. The agate has a dendritic area, as well as banding. Transluscent blues, orange, reds, a quartz center....what a specimen.
Ahhhh!!! Another visit to the Montana mineral buffet! Tasty petrified wood appetizers, delicious bread-loaf agates for the main course, and syrupy jaspers for dessert! Pass the jasp-baguettes! I'll bring my own rock saw and fork when I come out! Thanks Mom!!😋
The flooding stirred up all the rocks and the torrential rain/hail cleaned off all the muddy ones from the flood!! 👍 See it always works out!! Those first few agates are insane, especially for that area!! What an epic hunt I'm speechless 🙊

Wow! That blue was awesome! Why is it, that where ever you are hunting, you always find the ones that have the most beautiful, unique patterns and colors, than everybody else? Its like they veil themselves until you get there, and they throw off their veils and say "pick me" when you walk on the gravels! Stunning! Absolutely stunning! And so many! You are going to need a bigger boat! That one thats eroding out, reminds me of a half popped kernel of popcorn! That dendridic jasper is gorgeous! Nice pet wood! Wow! That blue banding is amazing!!! And you, my dear, can hound right after everybody else has just picked it clean, and still find the absolute best, most unique, colorful and amazing agates! Just wow! Great hounding! Yay!

I didn't think the first one was real it was so gorgeous and the next one equally so. Chopper looked like he was having a good time, cooling in the water, swimming around and just being goofy! Hello Montana Rock Mom! I know the joy of the hunt. Used to live in Culbertson and found nice moss agate along the Yellowstone near Sidney. I've noticed you and others who've posted struggle digging rocks out of the gravel substrate. I always carried a standard screwdriver. It works great to pop those babies loose and easy to carry in a back pocket. Happy agate hunting!
Insane is a perfect way to describe that rockhounding trip. 10:57 that carnelian, and literally everything else was just amazing. Your smallest finds are our biggest finds out here. Going to move to Montbana one day just for the Agates 😀

I feel like the later in the year it gets, the better the rockhounding becomes. We need tons more rain to clean the rocks...the rockhounding season will just keep getting better and better this year!
@@MontanaRockMom Yeah, my last two trips up (in 2021) most of the larger gravels were all dusty and muddy, so hunting on dry days was a pain - every rock was a gray blob. I did better off-river. This year, I'm almost hoping for some slightly rainy weather. Otherwise, I'm breaking out the snorkel.
* It looked like that first Agate was a small part of a Huge Thunderegg.. I seemed that there were small pieces coming off of it.. So Cool.. Holy Cow.. You needed a separate boat just to haul the rocks in.. LOL ~ Unusual and Big. Lucky Lady!!

You had blue from beginning to end. One of the rocks near the end looked like Dendritic Opal with the Agate.. you saw the picture & commented on it.. Wonderful Finds the whole time..

The creator of this world and the heavens and all springs of water promises it and I m banking on it. . . The only price I had 2 pay was 2 give HIM my heart. . . a worthless stone. . . Thankyou 4 taking us on the journey w/u. . . and I pray 4 ur safety. . . 😊❤️🙏
I wish the format for this show was find , cut , polish, That would for me be most interesting, actually seeing the transformation from field find to polished slab so as to be able to appreciate what the rough material can look like when finished. I think that is a critical point of interest for hobbyists that is not being realized in MRM's show,,,,my two cents.

when you find something maybe you should think about the best way to cut it when you looking at it
I would love to be there looking at the same rocks you are looking at; I like rocks and intruding into other rocks
