    Proper procedure to fixing an M16/M4 magazine as outlined in FM 6-21-3-11-15-6.6:
    1. Disassemble magazine.
    2. Repair magazine spring by way of plastic reformation.
    3. Inspect magazine tube for malformations, address with percussive remedial action.
    4. Modify with field expedient witness windows for rapid future identification.

    • @spoeny
      @spoeny 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Interesting, I thought the proceducre was:
      1. Put magazine on ground
      2. Stomp until flat
      I wonder how much the military paid for one magazine and how many people were killed in combat by bad magazines.

    8:48 Recent-production factory Hi-Power magazines have a little spring on the heel that tensions against the magazine well when you put them in, and _launches_ them out of the gun when you hit the release button. I found that puzzling when I bought one a couple-three years back, because the ones from 30 years ago didn't have it, but I guess now I know what it's for.

      @@deadflowers7017 nope. 9mm for the most part. One guy used super spicy .40 hollow points cause that is what he had.

    Requiring the shooter to think can be acomplishied by giving them a random number between one and a hundred and requiring a yes/no for it being a prime number. Good shooting woolly pully.

    Didn't go into battery? Are you saying that this could've actually been a situation where the forward assist MAYBE could've helped? ;) or made it worse...

    • @SgtKOnyx
      @SgtKOnyx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe... But, to kill the joke dead, pulling the charging handle did the exact same thing.

    • @tyler1768
      @tyler1768 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The forward assist is not neccessary when pulling the charging handle is way better and it's better to get that round out as it may be defective and not to spec or just dirty if you understand what I'm saying.

    That flipping target on the end got a lot of people for time. Consider replacing it with a Texas star.

      The Spinner is a great target and has been an integral part of 2-gun for years. It was worse in this match for other reasons.

    APEX is great. Ian did a your there many years ago on GunLab.bet. The guy made a profound statement - price of surplus is based on availability, not value. Very true and I have not forgotten it.
