I can only imagine how terrifying and demoralizing it would be to be in that MiG formation. You see a massive jet and an AWACS on radar, scramble to intercept, then suddenly you get 50 missile warnings, and all your wingmen are being smoked.
The panic that comes with trying to figure out who's alive and who's dead while having amraams chasing is what gets you.
The Korean Mig-29 seems to have a design flaw where in a high altitude steep dive, it explodes.

The part where all of the Mig-29s got shot down kinda reminded me of those ww2 movies where an entire formation of B-17s gets shot down by flak
As a reference, in the army when we qualified with our rifles we shot out to 300 meters, so you could set up a rifle qual on this things wing span
Now that would be nuts, trying to have a firefight on the wings while trying not to be blown off by the jet stream.

that rudder on the CL-1201 is so huge that the top of it probably could contain an AWACS radar set on its own.

A combat pilot's flight training probably costs a few million dollars per pilot with all of the simulators, trainer jets, and specialized flight schools.

If/when drones see deployment, I hope they really lean into the 'hunting dog' motif and give them recorded barks so if a pilot gives voice commands they can respond like the good sky puppers they are.

the point of an AWAC system is for it to be independently detached to an area outside a controlled airspace. This is not demonstrated here but then again, this is a hypothetical scenario with concept armaments

That big aircraft can also serve as an arsenal platform, instead of housing drones, it's huge loading bay can house tons and tons of munitions, from air-to-air, air-to-ground and cruise missiles, this aircraft can really overwhelm an opponent's air defense system.
As a kid who grew up in the 80s with Pong and wire frame graphics, the graphical quality and physics in this simulator just blow me mind constantly.

Flying Aircraft Carriers have existed and entered service during the post WW1 era but were airships like USS Akron. First flight Sept. 1931. Could be a pretty cool video for you Sidewinder.

the carrier was probably one of the wildest science projects i read about. if i recall it supposed to be nuclear powered and have space for other craft to dock so crews can rest and rearm or something wild like that in the wings.

Every cloud has a silver lining...except for nuclear mushroom clouds, which have a lining made from strontium 90, caesium 137, and other radioactive isotopes.
Reminds me of the last episode of History Channel's Dogfights. At the start, the squadron of Raptors worked with two B1-R missile trucks who launched a salvo of AMRAAMs towards some 30 aircraft consisting of Su-30s and Rafales.

That’s what the AWACS is for. Spot the incoming bandits well before they can launch missiles. This whole video, in fact, is a textbook example of how a carrier battle group responds to airborne threats.
