Malibu an Axix have the best tech for wake surf setup stock. Bottom line 2k of ballast an trim tabs or wake shaper will get ya there on any comp tow boat.🍻

In this case, the Ri230 has the appropriate amount of stock ballast, using tabs, on a deep V hull design to create the most efficient wave in the segment. Neither Malibu nor Axis can claim that using their gate system. With todays towboat world, surf gates are dated technology if you want the BEST overall experience.

Surf Gates are old technology, extra drag on the boat, more fuel consumption. Tabs are the best surf system in terms of performance, adjustability, and fuel efficiency.

Ri230s get compared to G23s and GS all the time. The Ri230 offers a longer, more 'pushy', more adjustable surf wave than the G23 or GS lines.
