- Happy New Year everyone welcome back to the channel. Buying cars is very much a large part of any motor traders day, but buying cars that very quickly develop a fault that wasn't there when purchasing it unfortunately is also a large part of any motor traders day. Join me on one of them days with what is a very lovely car........but has an issue.

Happy new year Kev & family. Really needed to see your chirpy face today 😂 you've passed on a very boring hour at work for me. Looking trim with the new hair cut and shave. That car looks fantastic, what a lovely lovely place to be inside that car. Shame about the air suspension but at least you've got it sorted. Great vid mate, keep it up. This winter has put a stop to me doing anything at all, but I've got 2 cars to re-prep and then back onto it in the couple of weeks fingers 🤞 I have some news which I'll do in my next video update

Hey Liam Happy New Year to you too 👍👊Tell you what Liam, fold the seats down in the back of that car, put a full size mattress in the back and you could sleep in it easy, load space is amazing and although them air springs are a bit of a pain (when they fail) the ride is very smooth 👌👌👌as for the 1 Million subs 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️I think I'll have to leave that to Matt Armstrong 💪💪💪💪All the best for 2024 Liam, nice one 👊👊👊

There’s a button in the boot for dropping it down to help you load stuff if not the valves are gone on the top of the bags

My son in law had one with the same problem caused by a corroded pipe in the rear suspension very expensive to fix
Ohhhh that sounds a bit harsh, guess I was lucky just having a bag fail, expensive but a fairly simple fix 👍👍👍

HNY mate welcome back great video good info out of interest is this the type of pricey fix where it’s eaten your profit and you just have to swallow it or is there still a bit of room in there. Assuming the fix wasn’t cheap
Hey Steve, Happy New Year mate........well put it this way, yes it wasn't cheap, and yes its eaten into the profit on this car massively...but....im glad it did it in my ownership rather than a month after I sold it as that would look really bad on us ya know 🤪🤪🤪👍👍

I just changed a fuel filter on my 61 reg lexus is 200d behind the rear diff , don't try and do it what a nightmare I need a auxiliary belt and pully next lexus quoted £675 so will defo do my self

Spray the airbags with soapy water, bubbles will show from tiny leaks that you can't otherwise see.
Unfortunately you cant do that on these bellows as they are covered be a corrugated plastic shield 😏😏😏😏
@@VisionPrestigeCars Didn't know that, my Mercedes is a R320, the airbags are easy to get at on this model.
Horses for courses....you'll have a warranty and peace of mind which is worth the money.
I’ve got one and not sure what part was called it’s under rear bumper on near side and it was the wires had worn through. Mechanic repaired in 20 minutes

My Cls shooting brake 2015 has same problem but both sides go down usually takes about 2 days.
I've had air lines and fittings replaced with no joy,I'm in process getting 2 Arnott bags installed.
Priced 2 genuine bags over £1000,Arnott £540 including vat.
How much did it cost u to have 1 replaced?
I put these on springs last few I sold or it's not big job to put bag on the valves sit on top off the bag
Ive heard alot of people converting these to springs.....does ride real nice on the bags though 👍👍👍

Air bags can go at anytime and mercs are know for it

Hi Dale, They do drive nice with bags no question, I just hate how dead they look when they fail and how tricky they are to move especially if they fail big time ya know 🤪
