So basically because of Covid they added some buffs that were long asked by the community but they suddenly took out those buffs and increased the price for an item and instead of adding more things to make people go outside they removed stuff and forced people.

Also while I can understand you find not that worth it the decorations and the capital gold, if you search for a clan you can easily step up form a dead clan or a clan where your friends barely don't play. If you already complain for it Idk what would've been the pass if it was just the price increase, without all the new advantages.

I just want to say how overwhelmed I am sometimes by how genuinely thoughtful the CoC devs are. Their incessant creativity and ability to genuinely listen to their player base is what has kept them going, as opposed to so many other games - even AAA games.

they handled it well. unfortunatly the only thing that is worth in the pass are the time based reductions. everything else is either cosmetic/grindable. even the magic items like runes and rings arent that worth really, loot can be grinded. personally disappointed with this, would have liked to see a bigger builder/training/research time reduction for it to be worth. Also supercell add in another slot in the lab, there are so many upgrades!!
I genuinely really like super cell as a company. I think the price increase is understandable and very fair, it also is getting me excited for next month too. I usually buy the gold pass because I am going to be playing anyways, and I do want to support their company + I am a huge nerd about the art style and graphics. I am not a fan of micro-transactions or pay-to-win games at all, but super cell has done a really good job of balancing it out so people who do not spend money are still able to progress.
Big props to the coc team for not going full money hungry and increasing prices while decreasing rewards… *cough *cough. They handled this really well and the same if not more people might buy this new pass. If only all game devs could listen to the community like this…

I agree with what you said about that even though there is a price increase, there are also more rewards, so we, as the players, are getting respected. I just feel like now (as all games are), they are somewhat forcing players to get rewards through purchases as opposed to just being able to play the game. Not that there weren't things like this before (used to be called memberships), but you usually didn't need it to make the game feel like the actual game, if that makes sense
It is very easy to say that it has improved and that the value does not matter when you live in the USA, here in Brazil it was an increase of 50% which is unacceptable, the improvement in items was in large numbers for the builder's village which in most cases is ignored by the players, so yes it was an unnecessary and bad increase.
The only thing still lacking for the pass is the extra points you get after completing the pass. The quests feel like a waste to complete without any rewards
i love the changes, i get they need to make it more expensive bc of staff and inflation and im so thankful they went about it this way instead of the other game's way

Given all the upgrades to the pass, I'm fine with 7$. It's still not a lot and gets compensated although most of them aren't very interesting, especially the forge bonus, I used it once but it's mostly only used by maxed out players who can't do anything with their gold anyways. It definitely doesn't sound like the catastrophe Clash Royale has created
I would’ve genuinely been fine with the gold pass being the same for a dollar increase at 5.99, but Clash Of Clans did one better by making it 6.99 but making it even better. I always loved the gold pass and I genuinely am happy with what they did. The COC team is always great unlike a certain game…

Point is, they had to accomodate to the inflation, and they chose to increase the value of the pass along with it's price (which they didn't have to do). I stopped buying the CR pass after the change, but I will likely be even happier to buy the gold pass after this change, the Coc devs are definitely a team to learn from
The biggest restriction I have with Clash's pass is that I can't immediately reap the speed and cost decreases (building, troops). I've never seen a rationale for that and I'd love to see it. Short explanation: I use the pass for accelerating base development more than anything else.
Because the main selling point is that while you don't get the rewards instantly, you get them for much, much cheaper than their true value. The only tradeoff is that you have to play to get them, which makes sense. They get engagement and a purchase that's worth it for many casual players, you get cool rewards 👍

Reminder that the supercell shop exists and you can buy (and store multiple) battlepasses right now at an even lower price than what is currently ingame. Stock up on battle passes and even donate them to a friend

I think the CR team releases it's update prior to COC updates so that the COC team can see their mistakes, find better solution and avoid the same situation as CR Well COC is supercells first successful game so they really try to keep it alive and F2P friendly in order to increase it's life. need additional options to be able to take the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends, because if you follow the existing settings now by taking the treasure chest if the gold pass is over many players are upgrading the defense and it causes the builders to be busy so that the storage is full resulting in threats from looting and will cost the player as the loot is up to 1 million for each resource. therefore it is expected to add the option of taking the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends by increasing the profit we can also spend resources with the use of a 20% discount in full.... ❤🎉🎉🎉
They should add a feature (gold pass or not), where you can still use heroes even if they are upgrading. It’s very inconvenient when I am out at a severe disadvantage for multiple days when I want to upgrade my warden or whoever else.

not rly, who cares about clan decorations and extra forge slot? only thing that makes it kinda worth it is builder base bank and the extra rune. what they should have done is increase the main bank to at least 40mil G/E and 400K DE and added 25% or 30% boosts.

Weirdly CoC team knows how to do that kind of stuff unlike the CR team lmao. I was worried it would be a Clash Royale situation. Nope Clash actually made it even better than it was before thus making the price increase reasonable.
I would love if they make this as different levels of pass....coz honestly I don't see the value in builder bank once I max out that base. I feel it would be good if we have the $5 pass which gives rewards for home village and then $7 which gives builder base bank rewards in addition to the home village.
When I saw the title I got worried for a moment but seeing as they're increasing the rewards, granting multipliers for banks, etc I feel the small price jump is more than justified.
Imo instead of changing it completely, they should just keep them both as separate purchase options, so for example theres the regular gold pass which is what we have now, and gold pass pro which will be the new slightly more expensive version

I think Supercell needs to add a Town Hall Bonus loot that scales accordingly. 1 million extra bonus loot per TH starting at TH12.

To be honest, i would definetly buy the pass for an extra euro just for the extra rune. So this is in my opinion a good update.
I think that the price won't increase with 1 euro, it already costs 6 euros which is 20% more, it will probably increase by 1,50 euros or something

Given all the upgrades to the pass, I'm fine with 7$. It's still not a lot and gets compensated although most of them aren't very interesting, especially the forge bonus, I used it once but it's mostly only used by maxed out players who can't do anything with their gold anyways.
It definitely doesn't sound like the catastrophe Clash Royale has created

I would’ve genuinely been fine with the gold pass being the same for a dollar increase at 5.99, but Clash Of Clans did one better by making it 6.99 but making it even better. I always loved the gold pass and I genuinely am happy with what they did. The COC team is always great unlike a certain game…
I think 25 percent increase of builder and lab is more value.

Not really, if you watch the video you’ll see it’s way more value, nothing like Royale
The clash royale team messed up and now supercell as a whole has to compensate with clash of clans... At least they're giving more rewards instead of taking them away!

That's too much for a student specially when you're from India, i somehow deceived my mother by saying let me buy this one as birthday gift and surprisegly she agreed but that was my first and last GP, after price increase it's almost impossible for me to ask for another GP 🙂
I prefer if they make 3 option. First is silver for F2P, 2nd is golden ticket (older price), 3rd is the new price. I think it will be more flexible for any player.
Yeah but with inflation they kind of had to increase the price, but by adding 3 options it would kind of have the same effect as clash royales pass... I think these changes are much more worth then 2 dollars

But if the reason is inflation, it is acceptable even though i realize hard decision for its effect.
Honestly, i planned to buy the golden ticket next month but i shocked if the price is increase. It should be my first golden ticket.
@@jasonli777 I'm not in a bad state money wise, but I'm still a student so no I don't have tons of money. Point is, they had to accomodate to the inflation, and they chose to increase the value of the pass along with it's price (which they didn't have to do).
Creating a lower value but still 5€ pass would be too much in my opinion

This is definitely worth it, but i wish they added a scenery to the GP perhaps every other month
The biggest restriction I have with Clash's pass is that I can't immediately reap the speed and cost decreases (building, troops). I've never seen a rationale for that and I'd love to see it. Short explanation: I use the pass for accelerating base development more than anything else.
Because the main selling point is that while you don't get the rewards instantly, you get them for much, much cheaper than their true value. The only tradeoff is that you have to play to get them, which makes sense.
They get engagement and a purchase that's worth it for many casual players, you get cool rewards 👍

Reminder that the supercell shop exists and you can buy (and store multiple) battlepasses right now at an even lower price than what is currently ingame. Stock up on battle passes and even donate them to a friend

im a fully f2p player and i must say that i love the fact that the price increase and modification to the pass didnt damaged the one that cant spend money on the game,it coldve ended like the clash royale pass,instead they added some reward,i think CR should learn a lot of thing from the CoC developer

Well I would like to see an increase in the builder boost of 25 percent than 20 it will be more understandable in my opinion.
I think the CR team releases it's update prior to COC updates so that the COC team can see their mistakes, find better solution and avoid the same situation as CR
Well COC is supercells first successful game so they really try to keep it alive and F2P friendly in order to increase it's life.

need additional options to be able to take the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends, because if you follow the existing settings now by taking the treasure chest if the gold pass is over many players are upgrading the defense and it causes the builders to be busy so that the storage is full resulting in threats from looting and will cost the player as the loot is up to 1 million for each resource. therefore it is expected to add the option of taking the treasure chest if it is full before the gold pass ends by increasing the profit we can also spend resources with the use of a 20% discount in full.... ❤🎉🎉🎉

They should add a feature (gold pass or not), where you can still use heroes even if they are upgrading. It’s very inconvenient when I am out at a severe disadvantage for multiple days when I want to upgrade my warden or whoever else.
for me it's an L if they don't give us 30% off builder decrease time and costs. Also where does the capital gold or capital decorations go if you're in a LVL 1 clan? they never took into account those things.
To be fair, it isn't that hard to lvl a clan up to 2 with at least 4 more people.

not rly, who cares about clan decorations and extra forge slot? only thing that makes it kinda worth it is builder base bank and the extra rune. what they should have done is increase the main bank to at least 40mil G/E and 400K DE and added 25% or 30% boosts.

Honestly I feel like it's a good change, even for F2P players. P2P players also get more for only a "small" increase, which is always nice. Weirdly CoC team knows how to do that kind of stuff unlike the CR team lmao.
That Builder Season Bank will be very helpful as a dolphin that spends money on season passes time to time, as I'm low in elixir since BB 2.0 dropped
I was worried it would be a Clash Royale situation. Nope Clash actually made it even better than it was before thus making the price increase reasonable.
I would love if they make this as different levels of pass....coz honestly I don't see the value in builder bank once I max out that base. I feel it would be good if we have the $5 pass which gives rewards for home village and then $7 which gives builder base bank rewards in addition to the home village.
I’m guessing that’s why they added that forge related reward, so you can use those extra resources on getting loot for the clan capital

When I saw the title I got worried for a moment but seeing as they're increasing the rewards, granting multipliers for banks, etc I feel the small price jump is more than justified.

Imo instead of changing it completely, they should just keep them both as separate purchase options, so for example theres the regular gold pass which is what we have now, and gold pass pro which will be the new slightly more expensive version
