A company by the name of SlikGraphics make officially liscenced Fox fork decals and you can order them in custom colours if you're curious Tom 👌Also a gold TRP Quadium brake with a gold Shimano Saint bb and some nice polished cranks as you said would be sick
That new frame is super sick, it's a really nice color scheme and goes well with so many accent colors! If fox wont do gold/champagne color logos a Matt Red, Matt Navy or Pepsi Blue or a Nardo Grey would look sick as well. Really stoked you're building up the new bike & can't wait for you to get back to riding again! Just had a big neck/spine surgery & am laid up no riding, gym ect for 8 weeks so these videos really help make my days more enjoyable & give me ideas for my own bikes, riding ect when I'm cleared. Thanks for putting out the videos still even though you are cleared to ride yet either!
Hey Tom Cardy! New bike day rules! Those custom frames for you Sam Pilgrim and Yannick Granieri are awesome! Haibike probably gets those welded by the best of the most experienced welders at the frame factory! Soon you will ride again! Start a Cardy countdown to when you are allowed to saddle up and boost to the sky again and keep us informed! Ride ride ride!
Bud ive been watching more of your stuff since the lockdowns and ive gotta say, you bring genuine enthusiasm to the sport without the flashy sponsor shout outs and marketing. Keeps me watching man, love it!
Definitely keep the tan wall tyres! Fox has fork decals in Kashima gold. Add gold bolts (matching the stem cap), to the bar stem plate and brake rotors (if they’re not center lock). The new rig looks brilliant! Keep doing what you do!
Id keep the hints of red bro it looks decent from where I am sat. I have a gt chucker in black n white customised as a DJ and with the same tan walls. Epic bro can't wait to see it finished and you riding again
Reality check 101: I'm an old guy, I never dirt jump off the ground more than a foot, I haven't build a single bike in my life, I have trouble adjusting the current rear brake of my 24'' BMX, and yet all these bike builds are so awesome, I watch as much as I can to understand the parts, dimension, and the how to. I would love to build one because it gives great aesthetic pleasure.
I think you should continue with the gold/bronze/tan/black theme. The tan tyres look good I don't think white would be as good. No to chrome, go for a bronze/gold brake lever. Bronze/gold or black grips and you're right to go with the gold chain. I never consciously thought about colour coordinating my bikes but thinking back about it they have always ended that way, most recent build was white with black highlights. Awesome video as usual, thank you keep them coming, and looking forward to seeing you back riding.
In my opinion, those forks with no stickers on it are fine. Can't wait to see you shreding again !! (Inglish is not m'y current language so sorry if i'm wrong)
If you want to take it to the next level, take off all of the ano parts to strip the color and polish them all up, or have it anodized gold, new gold stickers or decals on the cranks and rims too, tan wall is better with gold than white, gum color grips would work with the livery scheme tie in tan wall tires as well. 7:02 There is a safer way to do that which puts less forces to areas of the frame that aren't designed to take certain types of abuse(like the top tube in a vise with downward force to the head tube) without the press tool: Place the lower bearing cup on a solid surface, place the frame on top of that bearing cup then place the top bearing and wood like you have, hold the frame steady or brace it loosely with some foam or soft padding when you hammer the wood it sets both bearing cups and keeps most of the hammering forces in the head tube.
What better way to spend time with a squishy spleen than to play with bike parts! That's how I kept up hope. A damaged spleen makes a good built in torque wrench.
Seeing it like that, I think the tan walls will work really well with the gold decals. White walls could look good but might draw the attention away from everything else. 🤔 Now it's making me want to modify my dirt jumper. The only thing I have done is upgrade the pedals so far after I broke the bearing on the first set. They weren't made for a 126kg bloke to be riding on them. 🤪 You have some great ideas there Tom.
I reckon go Gold decals, black cranks, collars, grips, and brakes then controversial but Blue (same as the damper control on the forks!) for chainring, bb etc!
The bike looks sick just like that keep the tyres I'd definitely get a gold bottom bracket for it and and gold half link chain I like the chrome magura brakes Kara has fitted to her bike that would set it off maybe even go proper street and fit a front brake 😉
Honestly I would just scrap the white or tan sidewalls altogether and go full black. I think it would make all the other gold accents pop and stand out more. But regardless of what you choose, it's going to look sick!
Keep the tan side walls, goes well with the gold! Careful to mix chrome and silver with gold. Try and stick with gold or black all over! And if Fox don't give you custom gold forks, they've lost me as a customer for life! Well deserved!
Get a gold hollow pin half link chain, I run one and it looks sick. Otherwise get a gold BB and get them fox decals. Shimano Saint brakes might like good as they run with the black and gold theme Tom!
As far as DJ components goes I've only had real problems finding chainrings in the UK recently* . It does depend how fussy you are regards colour but there's plenty of Hope kit about (I've recently built some Hope/Chaos wheels) and at time of writing Wiggle have DJ Bombers in stock!!! Gusset also have Double Six sprockets in stock again. * I run a half-link chain to keep my wheelbase short which means a non thick/thin chainring. Good luck finding one of them atm (32t, 4 arm, 104 bcd, 90ID if you have one) Edit: Also, I hope you don't want yellow stickers on your Halo Chaos rims right now ;)
Silk Graphics do great fork stickers that you can customise to your colour requirements. So good, they've got all the makes, fox etc. Jusy bought some for my marin. So good. Based in Sweden but ship fast.
Cane creek titantium cranks, go for a mechanical brake street vibes tan walls look mint, leave the fork decals off wack a set of crank bros stamp 11s on too
XT cranks will probably colour match the frame (are they suitable for DJ?) TRP gold brake as others have mentioned, Marzocchi forks as the damper and air caps are gold, or swap Marzocchi Grip damper and air cap onto Fox Kashima DJ fork (You dont need Grip 2 dampers for DJ surely), Hope/Disco gold centre rotor
Can't wait to see you back on the bikes shredding. Which bike repair stand do you use? It looks very stable and good quality. Do you recommend it? TIA 😎🚴♂️
I think it would be sick with e wings cranks ( if you win the lottery) Trp Chrome brake Golden bb And the gusset Luck on gribs with little gold Bits insted of petrol
At 9:46 That jittering you see is caused because you filmed that video at around 30fps(or 60, etc) and you're rendering at 24, there will be double frames
I am not up to date and I can't find any proper answer with Google. What are those FOX forks and do they do a model for 26 wheels specific for DJ or is it just a normal MTB fork for 27,5 wheels ?
It went together easily in less than an hour. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.
I love the tan wheels. A gold chain and gold pedals. Keep the black cranks
Yeah totally agree with you
I think the tan tyres suit the bike, it's looking pretty sleek!
A company by the name of SlikGraphics make officially liscenced Fox fork decals and you can order them in custom colours if you're curious Tom 👌Also a gold TRP Quadium brake with a gold Shimano Saint bb and some nice polished cranks as you said would be sick
Etsy has every color ever made as well for many suspension brands
I got some great custom decals from Slik. They are really good.
I got Mickey mouse and Minnie mouse putting middle fingers up on my fox decals LOL
That frame is so sick Tom. Can’t wait to see the finished build. So slick !
Love the tan walls Tom 👌 grips in a similar tan/gum colour would be sick!
That new frame is super sick, it's a really nice color scheme and goes well with so many accent colors! The Golden Sram XX1 cranks would look sick🤘🏼

Nice Bike!
I think some Sram XX1 Cranks in Gold looks Sick! And some nice black grips!
Bud ive been watching more of your stuff since the lockdowns and ive gotta say, you bring genuine enthusiasm to the sport without the flashy sponsor shout outs and marketing. Keeps me watching man, love it!
I genuinely hope you recover soon man! I love your vids and your ride style!
Thanks for the Send it T Tom.
Nice quality, love the green Looks sick!😁
Definitely keep the tan wall tyres! Fox has fork decals in Kashima gold. Add gold bolts (matching the stem cap), to the bar stem plate and brake rotors (if they’re not center lock). The new rig looks brilliant!
Keep doing what you do!
Tan wall tyres look sick, gold chain yep 🤙🤙🤙
Looks sick how it sits!!! Those tan wheels are so nice, all the colours go together really well!
These tanwalls look sick!
Your DJ is looking sweet!!!🤙🏽
I ride a DJ Specialized P3 and a DJ Felt I mostly street but been hitting the pump track and bike parks. Bike Life 🤙🏽
Id keep the hints of red bro it looks decent from where I am sat. I have a gt chucker in black n white customised as a DJ and with the same tan walls. Epic bro can't wait to see it finished and you riding again

Awesome video as usual, thank you keep them coming, and looking forward to seeing you back riding.
I think the tan tires are just fine. It looks good.
I think black collars on the grips and keep the tan walls, they look awesome!
Gold Hubs, Gold Chainring, Gold seat clamp and either a Gold stem or Gold handlebars but not both............and then its banging Tom ✌😁👌
Gold gusset slink chain would look sick
Vans tan waffle grips would look sik with the tan wall tires. I like touches of red and blue colors personally. Right on Cards!
I love the tan walls!
Bike looks sweeeeet 👌 bronze break housing would be dope 🤩
Your plan as described is perfect I think - I would consider adding a crank stop though.
love the tan and a gold brake lever
the red on the cranks and on the wheels and the bottom bracked is insane but with out is good to.
In my opinion, those forks with no stickers on it are fine.
Can't wait to see you shreding again !!

Great build Tom looks great 👍👍👍
Go with the tan wall mate 👌 and maybe gold stem bolts great bike mate 👍
What better way to spend time with a squishy spleen than to play with bike parts! That's how I kept up hope. A damaged spleen makes a good built in torque wrench.
Another good looking ride 👌
for headset cup mounting we have C-clamps, bar clamps (the ones with screw handles) or a bolt w/ large washers, all work quite nicely :}
The bike looks amazing.
This is an absolutely stunning bike!!! 💥💯💥
Seeing it like that, I think the tan walls will work really well with the gold decals. She's a beauty! My vote is to keep the tan walls.

Tan tyres looking 👌🏻
Looks sick can't wait to see it completed 🥰🔥👌

Keep the tan walls and a gold chain, gold seat clamp 🤟
I dream of building a FGFS-jumper out of a DJ frame, rigid CroMo fork and an ISO cog on the rear hub!
Tom, the natural sidewalls don’t look bad. I’d go with black walled tires but definitely not white. gold hubs and possibly gold bars.
To seat my bearing cups I have a 1” bolt, nut, and washers so i can slowly press them into the head tube
I would say full black tyres and let the gold halo stickers do the talking.
Nice! Talk to Matt Jones about some titanium cranks!
Keep it all black and gold
tan tires, are similar to gold, the bike looks great
Wow. I like this bike 😍😍😍
Silk Graphics do great fork stickers that you can customise to your colour requirements. So good, they've got all the makes, fox etc. Jusy bought some for my marin. So good. Based in Sweden but ship fast.
Cane creek titantium cranks, go for a mechanical brake street vibes tan walls look mint, leave the fork decals off wack a set of crank bros stamp 11s on too
tan tires are somewhat easier to keep looking fresh than white-wall ones.. to my eyes tan goes quite nicely on that bike
some side company's ,make really nice gold fox decals
XT cranks will probably colour match the frame (are they suitable for DJ?) TRP gold brake as others have mentioned, Marzocchi forks as the damper and air caps are gold, or swap Marzocchi Grip damper and air cap onto Fox Kashima DJ fork (You dont need Grip 2 dampers for DJ surely), Hope/Disco gold centre rotor
tan looks nice
Tan walls are cool I'd stick with black and gold where possible
Chrome Hope brake with braided hose and gold chain
Awesome looks sick keep tanwalls
love to see how the videos hav progressed over the years man.i remember when you only had 1k subscribers hahaah
Invis make some sick decals for fox forks
Get the gold trp brake, it would match the colour scheme
Think it looks sick breakless
Can't wait to see you back on the bikes shredding.
Which bike repair stand do you use? It looks very stable and good quality.
Do you recommend it? TIA 😎🚴♂️
I think it would be sick with
e wings cranks ( if you win the lottery)
Trp Chrome brake
Golden bb
And the gusset Luck on gribs with little gold Bits insted of petrol
bike looks sick! sram make a set of the same crank with a gold xo logo
I like it so much!
Chrome bars white wheels gold hand grips Tom I do great videos always
Love the bike storage area. What is the kit? It looks hinged? Never seen anything like that. Cheers 😊
3:22 hilarious :D
That wil look woooooooo😮😮😮😮
+1 for SlikGraphics
🤟🔥nice bike
No Sir. Those tan walls work much better with those gold fork decals that are surely on the way.
tan walls tan/gum grips gold chain and gold rear caliper
Run no brakes if you really love street riding.. lol looks good
At 9:46 That jittering you see is caused because you filmed that video at around 30fps(or 60, etc) and you're rendering at 24, there will be double frames
Tom, can you tell me where you got the table top tyres? I've been looking EVERYWHERE for them for my own jump bike build!! Bike looks sick!!
What grips do you use I’ve been looking for my bike and I have no clue what to get
Gum color grips and pedals or gold pedals, Gold seatpost, Gold chain ring
Dont make it all gold and black, i reckon the little bits of red make it look sick
Tom, if the old frame is still usable possible giveaway idea!
i like your old frame
When buying a jump bike they come in medium or large what size frame is best...
I am not up to date and I can't find any proper answer with Google. What are those FOX forks and do they do a model for 26 wheels specific for DJ or is it just a normal MTB fork for 27,5 wheels ?
Chrome sprocket would look clean
Since it looks like you're running metal pedals, what about some gold ones?
Righteous
cane creek eewings heheheh

Put at false wall over all them sockets and switches.
