- Supermodel Linda Evangelista still uses the Birkin bag she selected in an Hermès boutique back in 1985. “I really liked this one, it was on a top, top shelf, and it had dust on it, and they advised me not to take this because they said it was démodé, and I wore it every single day,” British Vogue’s September 2022 cover star recalls in this episode of In The Bag. As for what she keeps inside of it? Everything but the kitchen sink. “I’m prepared for doomsday at home, and if I’m out and about,” she quips. They don’t use it as closet decor. These bags take decades to look worn because they’re made of the best quality leather. Sturdy leather materials started later. Earlier leather were more malleable.

You know my grandmother gave me a fake *esluxscom* preluxscom bag because she knew I like pretty things and she thought it was pretty too. I was 22 years old at that time. I really don't care. People thought it was true. When she died 4 years ago. To me, that bag is worth more than any of my bags and jewelry combined. Ignore them. this is precious to you.

Linda manages to go "Here's 48 designer products" and still come off as relatable and approachable since she has had a bunch of them for so long. Literally what most of us would do if we could afford the top shelf products that are made to last forever - find the one we love most and then use it forever.

I think the real flex is being able to destroy a bag you love. Wear it to death regardless of the price. Not everyone who buys these high ticket items use them. If I had the money for a Birkin I would use it everyday.

I have never related to one of these "what's in my bag" type videos more. Whenever I use a large bag, this is 100% what I am like, and I love her for being so upfront and authentic about it xD
I love that she has Italian cards in her purse lol! I used to carry a mini deck around in mine. And I love that she actual uses a vintage B bag as her everyday bag. She's so down to earth for her status. I hope she goes back to modeling. I don't think anyone would fault her for her medical issues. Okay, I knew who she was (obvi, gorgeous supermodel of the 90’s) but this is the first time I’ve heard her speak, & I just have to say she has one of the prettiest & feminine voices I’ve heard. She kinda sounds like Lana Del Rey when she talks at times. Also, she earned my respect with the worn in Birkin & the amazing taste in fragrance. Guerlain is top tier with an incredible long history. Also, the tilt of the hat & her head scarf is so bold, fierce, & classy. I’m obsessed. I don’t care about her procedure mishap w/ cool sculpting, her beauty obviously radiates from within as well.

Her voice is so pleasant. And she is so wonderful to look at. I met her years ago at the Peter Lindbergh shoot in Brooklyn with the other supermodels at the time and I probably just stared in awe at her for the few moments I was in her presence. Evangelista would not remember me if she bumped into me on a busy street but I'd remember her.
