The stereotypes are crazy because I have lived in North East, Florida, and now California. All different types of Latino people inhabit those areas Mexicans, Colombians, Ricans, Dominican, Cuban, Argentine etc... Western world is so cruel to people like Black girls, Indian and Asian men, it is sickening, when I was living in Africa (Kenya) as a Indian man, there was no such discussion, black girls in Africa were wanted by everyone, almost all indian men in Africa wanted them, so many of my indian friends dated them and these men were considered lucky in our group to date African girls. I have never ever commented on any platform before but the comments here are breaking my heart. The acidic, negative contruction of the black female in these comments and in the discussion is painful to watch and read. The women described do exist - we have all met them - but the fascination with the constant portrayal of black women as these loud, masculine, destructive creatures is disturbing to me, especially as it seems to be being voiced mostly by our own black men. There description does not describe me or my peers. I am all for self scrutiny and introspection, however I question the motivation and method. Is this meant to help black women? I raise this because since starting secondary school last year my beautiful, dark skinned black daughter has faced the most disgusting, crushing verbal assaults from who?... If my daughter saw these comments it would destroy her and reinforce her growing perception that black females are not desired, are not beautiful and can not find love. Then I look here and see similar statements being voiced. My husband and I have been together 22 years and married for 15 years. It was such a shock to her to experience this degree of viciousness from black boys. The men and boys in our lives don't suffer from this self loathing so it has been very hard for her and us. I am black, and I will not date black women. When I was a lot younger, a lot of black women didn’t like me because I wasn’t “black enough. “. I tried dating black women later, but it never worked out. Their attitudes will get excessively mean and they have become super controlling. Not all black women are like this, but the ones that I happen to come across definitely were. So I stopped dating them. More peace that way.

As someone who is married to a wonderful black woman, for me it has nothing to do with skin, it has everything to do with attitude. I was on my own for a while. Life can be rough and can make a woman forget her soft side. My bf, husband now, we used to argue all the time. One day I realized I was competing with him, i was the only competing. I had to reach into my soul and find the woman in me. I backed off and let him lead. I'm glad I did. I don't have to be afraid anymore. He will protect me not because I can't but because I want him to. I love my husband I praise him every chance I get. If you look at social media, black women are shown to be HIGHLY aggressive, even more so then men, violent, disrespectful and very entitled, qualities most men DO NOT WANT! look at regular media and you see basically the same thing, black women more aggressive, more violent tendencies, more loud, drama filled and very poor familiar ties. Again, most men DO NOT WANT those qualities in their woman. The visuals, the portrayal of black women needs to change, looking from the outside in, black women have shown almost NO redeeming qualities men would want in a wife, let alone a mother to be.
It’s partially to do with the fact that the loud catty and argumentative black women has been shown in pop culture a lot. So I think a lot of guys don’t want that or that is the image that comes to mind. The second hurtle to cross (especially if you’re a white guy in the west) has been just the general racial tension from the last 4 to 6 years. It seems like a lot of of the black community sees a white guy as an oppressive force. I agree it is certainly an issue of perception. As a black woman I do have am opinion on most things. The most important things to learn about speaking my opinion was 1.) when to, when not to, and 2.) HOW to. I think I speak for a decent majority when I say that I had no strong male figures whom I respected growing up and I spoke to all men the same way - like a brother, cousin. Added to that, being the eldest grandchild. The programming there, is one of leadership. So now I have learned how to be effective with a man, but even still it is simply a matter of code switching and, imo, not something that I can see myself doing on a basis such as required in cohabitation.

I’m a BW from the U.S and this hasn’t been experience at all! I get hit on, asked out and have been in relationships with men of many different ethnicities. My dating experience is from Jordanian/Syrian, Indian, Jamaican, Greek, Puerto Rican etc My current bf is biracial. When was on dating apps I had a ton of likes/responses from more non BM then BM but I think it’s because that’s who’s mostly on there. Non BM are not hard to get AT all! The breakdown of families lead to women who don't understand how to be women and men who don't understand how to be men. The amount of immaturity in the black community amongst adults is appalling and sadly this is a result of the breakdown of families.

I have never ever commented on any platform before but the comments here are breaking my heart. The acidic, negative contruction of the black female in these comments and in the discussion is painful to watch and read. The women described do exist - we have all met them - but the fascination with the constant portrayal of black women as these loud, masculine, destructive creatures is disturbing to me, especially as it seems to be being voiced mostly by our own black men. There description does not describe me or my peers. I am all for self scrutiny and introspection, however I question the motivation and method. Is this meant to help black women?
I raise this because since starting secondary school last year my beautiful, dark skinned black daughter has faced the most disgusting, crushing verbal assaults from who?... Her own people - black boys. She has repeatedly been called a gorilla, ugly, fat and a man. Constant taunts about her appearance, her hair, her lack of a bottom. My daughter is stunning but she doubts everything about herself and is now obsessed with make up, hair gel and changing her clothes to be acceptable because her natural self (which is beautiful) has been derided by peers who could be her cousins, brothers or friends. Then I look on this platform to see a repeated, vicious attack on black women. It breaks my heart. If my daughter saw these comments it would destroy her and reinforce her growing perception that black females are not desired, are not beautiful and can not find love. She believes (already) that she will not find a black boy/man in the future to love her because black are actually telling her black girls are no good. Where are they getting this from?
Then I look here and see similar statements being voiced. My husband and I have been together 22 years and married for 15 years. My daughter sees black love everyday but sooo many of us have been poisoned with this self hate and as parents we can't compete with these destructive perceptions. The boys (black boys) at my daughter's school are winning. Their negative opinions of the black female are picking away at our child.
I ask the black men who are commenting here to remember that their words can be swords. Think about who you are cutting.
Your daughter isn’t limited to black American males. Most of them are losers anyway and will never support their families. She should consider other ethnicities, and if she wants a black man, then consider a real African or Afro-Caribbean. They are better workers and support their families. It was such a shock to her to experience this degree of viciousness from black boys. The men and boys in our lives don't suffer from this self loathing so it has been very hard for her and us. Being overweight is not just a "black women" thing. This is coming from a black woman who is skinny. Also, many whites are overweight as well and morbidly obese. I live in Germany and have never felt I was less desired because of my race or dark skin. I'm happily engaged to my Eastern European fiancé and before him, I never had trouble meeting high quality men.

The visuals, the portrayal of black women needs to change, looking from the outside in, black women have shown almost NO redeeming qualities men would want in a wife, let alone a mother to be.
It’s partially to do with the fact that the loud catty and argumentative black women has been shown in pop culture a lot. So I think a lot of guys don’t want that or that is the image that comes to mind.
The second hurtle to cross (especially if you’re a white guy in the west) has been just the general racial tension from the last 4 to 6 years. It seems like a lot of of the black community sees a white guy as an oppressive force. And I rather avoid those uncomfortable meetings with her family with that in the current cultural boat and climate.

I agree it is certainly an issue of perception. As a black woman I do have am opinion on most things. The most important things to learn about speaking my opinion was 1.) when to, when not to, and 2.) HOW to. I think I speak for a decent majority when I say that I had no strong male figures whom I respected growing up and I spoke to all men the same way - like a brother, cousin. Added to that, being the eldest grandchild. The programming there, is one of leadership. So now I have learned how to be effective with a man, but even still it is simply a matter of code switching and, imo, not something that I can see myself doing on a basis such as required in cohabitation.
I'm a french male 68 yrs old and never had problem dating since my younger days. Women seemed attracted to french men for some reason, at least where I lived, no complaints lol.

I’m a BW from the U.S and this hasn’t been experience at all! I get hit on, asked out and have been in relationships with men of many different ethnicities. My dating experience is from Jordanian/Syrian, Indian, Jamaican, Greek, Puerto Rican etc My current bf is biracial. When was on dating apps I had a ton of likes/responses from more non BM then BM but I think it’s because that’s who’s mostly on there. Non BM are not hard to get AT all! So I’m perplexed by these comments.
