Pea Gravel & Weed Barrier Fabric Landscaping Around Above Ground Pool

The kids were a big help once again in getting our pool area ready to enjoy this summer. Josh put down the weed barrier fabric under the perimeter of the pool after we had about 2 inches of water in it to hold it in place. He also went around the small concrete pad area where the filter and ladder are kept.
Next, he picked up a load of pea gravel from Rock Hard Materials outside Yoakum, TX to go on top of the weed barrier. Finally, he picked up 80 concrete edgers at Walmart to serve as a border and hold in the gravel. The kids finished dumping gravel to fill the area and then promptly took a rewarding dip in the pool, no matter how shallow at the moment!
Josh also adjusted the level of the pool poles using the gravel instead of footings like last year. We dumped the remaining gravel behind our current house where the laundry drains to fix the mud crossing issue.

How level was the pool? Im putting one on 30x30 concrete that has a 3inch slope. Hope that being in the middle or close to the front should give it the best level.

Ours turned out pretty level. With your slope, it might be too uneven and the water would be higher on one side of the pool.
