My aunt had one of these, another aunt who lives in NY gifted her a version with no colored eyes, i remember the same songs and is the same voice, we used to scare people who visited her, the tree was in a balcony camouflaged with plants and lights, now this is a sad memory bc she died two years ago and xmas is coming, i just was searching for the tree and ended here, thanks for sharing. Ps: love to have someday the tree, my cousin damaged and disposed my aunts.
Mine is all decorated with ornaments and it’s the same one you have in this video, only mine has green eyes. Also the mouth doesn’t work. Plus the eyes tend to get suck open sometimes. Must be a split gear or something. Can you help?
Can this version of Douglas Fir use batteries at all? We had a later version which sang Jingle Bells and Up On The Housetop. It had an AC Adaptor socket on it, but no AC Adaptor was included in the box with ours. We live in Australia so of course Gemmy Industries would need to have supplied an appropriate AC Adaptor. It probably goes without saying that ours also didn't include the supposedly famous cassette tape and has no audio input socket on it.
I have one of this tree, it gaves, to my family, several years of good moments in Christmas times. But now it's broken. How to buy another? Do you know? I live in Rio, Brazil. We don't have this here.
This is the one i have but it only sings two songs: Jungle Bells and Santa is coming to Town. i also have the wreath which sings Jingle Bells in the same deep voice. Both began to have mouth problems so I bought new gears to make them work like new! (the gears have different teeth BTW)
Mine says it takes a 4.5 volt adapter but I have the 7 volt adaptor for the Douglas fir and I tried a 4.5 volt and it is underpowered when I use the 7 volt it works just fine

That thing is horrifying. I found one in a boiler room closet, and it was horrific.
What condition was it in
The one my dad had in my childhood years was the version with green eyes.
Perfect thing to take people by surprise. Unassuming Christmas tree starts singing with a face. Do you guys have the singing wreath and garland?
LoneSoul06 I have lots of singing fish.
My favourite version!

The tree is fixable and it’s pretty simple actually, all you do is replace the gear on one of the motors

One of our family members owned a tree like this, as a kid it used to terrify me.....
quinn babin when I first plugged one in, my immediate thought was to kill it, with fire.
Well, not only did I want to burn it, I also wanted to dissolve the Cursed Tree's remnants with Acid...

There is a very early version that sings jingle bells like those knockoff trees. It's an official one but it's pretty rare
