Thank you so very much för teaching how to make christmas trees. I gave one each to my children and grand children. they are crazy about them. I used tack fusing temp C 760 and they came out just perfect. I used two green, iris and transparent glass, transp and white granultes and some red. I do so appreciate your lessons. Thank you, you are so scilled!

As a newcomer to fused glass I found this really useful. Thanks.
I'm glad!! See the complete catalog of tutorials at www.glasshoppa.com
Just ordered a kiln, can't wait to make these. thx for sharing!
Loved this video….made them and did they ever turn out great!! I used some irid green glass as well for a bit more bling! Thanks!
I invested in some nippers and made Christmas trees, which I attached to homemade Christmas cards. I added fused glass hangers to the back (using fibre rope to keep the channel open) as you suggested so that the trees could be hung on the tree or in a window. I used clear base glass and achieved excellent results with Bullseye aventurine green which has a sparkle to it. What a fantastic tutorial - thank you!
Sounds great! Love the Christmas card idea -- any pictures? If so, and you want to share, send to glasshoppa@comcast.net. Thanks for your kind words ...
@@glasshoppa2326 I've just sent you an email with the photos.

Lol. Just looked further down the comments and another Aussie asked the same question...all good. I use hair spray on my frit and powder scenes but never on solid pieces. Thank you.
Hi Jim. I've watched all your public videos. I've made several bird baths, crater creations and bowls from squares. Love them all. Thank you. I'm learning with every project.

Thank you for taking the time to post on TH-cam and blogging! You have truly inspired me! Is the clear tree fired first before adding the hanger in the back?
It's all one firing ... On both trees. Good luck; have fun --
Thank you ... this was great!
Thanks! See the complete catalog of tutorials at www.glasshoppa.com
@@glasshoppa2326 Thanks again ... I'm doing fusing w/a microwave kiln. It's been good so far. I don't know how much I will actually do - but it's a fun way to use glass.
Beautiful 😊
Thanks for sharing these techniques and tips!
Gladly! See the complete catalog at www.glasshoppa.com
Thanks for all you share!
Was this fired at tack fuse temperature?
Thank you.

Can I make these in a table top kiln ?
Hermoso trabajo, gracias por compartir!
I love your glass Christmas trees. I definitely need a glass nipper. Yours seems to do a fantastic job. Can you tell me what brand and what model you use? I think that would be essential for making those trees.
Thanks! Mine are same as these: www.nwartglass.com/product/pro-g30c/
What is white rain?
Considering purchasing a kiln to begin glass fusing. Thank you for the video! What size/brand kiln are you using also are fumes associated with the fusing process?
No harmful fumes. Read this: www.glasshoppa.com/FirstKiln.html join us at www.patreon.com/glasshoppa
Is it possible to make the little Christmas tree so that it is 3D and stands up on its own, and maybe have teeny tiny led light/s in it? Hope the question isn't too silly. Love the trees! Cheers!
Actually sounds like a good idea! (but I'd have to work out the details ... Or YOU can 😊)
Glasshoppa well, at the moment I've been watching as I don't have my equipment yet, but I could draw a plan for it! Ive been enjoying your videos, so thank you for taking the time to make them and you're a very good teacher. Cheers!
Hi Glasshoppa, as usual love your videos. One question...what is ‘white rain’? Here in Oz I use Glastac but don’t think I could spray it. Many thanks.
Sorry! You're not the first to be confused by that. It's just cheap drugstore hair spray. "Suave" is another. Fancier brands contain polymers that cause problems. Good luck; have fun --
@@glasshoppa2326 I never heard about this brand in EU.
CHEAP hairspray, Suave is another, or GlasTac is fine ... More info here: www.glasshoppa.com/FAQ.html
I'm going to have to some some of these. A bit late for this year, but next year in my co-op gallery. You mentioned a stand. What kind would you suggest, and how would you make it?
Any little plastic stand from a craft store will work fine, but someone recently sent pictures of her trees glued to a clear glass votive holder ... Another great idea!
Thanks for the great tutorial! I like that tool you used for the fit, the elongated spoon. Where do I get something like that?
Hi Karen ... Your answer is here: www.glasshoppa.com/FAQ.html
Hi Jim I love your videos , I have a beginners question for u, can a glass of coe 90 be fused with a glass of coe 96 , I also have some wine a liquor bottles I can’t figure out the coe of them and can they be fused with coe of 90 and 96?
No. That's why we differentiate them. Same with the bottles. They are different, too. Figure out what's compatible with what? www.paragonweb.com/Kiln_Pointer.cfm?PID=403 also visit www.glasshoppa.com
I am a newcomer also. Could you advise a possible firing schedule?

Hi Glasshoppa and thanks for this demo. Lovely pieces. I am in Australia and would like to know what Elmer's you use (ie. school glue)? Also, are you able to tell me what 'white rain' is? Thank you.
Hello down there! I use Elmer's white glue ... Just "pin prick" quantities. White Rain is cheap hair spray - any brand should work. Sorry -- you aren't the only one who was confused by that ... : ) Good luck; have fun --
You are a star and sincere thanks for the info, the hints on TH-cam and your prompt response. I am a beginner so it is all so new. Thanks again!!
Elmer's sooo funny
Can you make a tutorial to make a advanced water vase.
I'm guessing you mean a vase that holds water ... I’ll add it to the list!
