So far i've played it in beat saber and i've seen it in rhythm doctor. the beat saber map is insane i love it but it's hard to do diagonals on quest.

@@XiGlove Yes. In Rhythm Doctor, you have to press the spacebar on the 7th beat of each group of 8. The tutorial helps demonstrate the timing by counting from 1 to 7 in Mandarin(?). One of the levels had Worn Out Tapes as the background music and at one point you have to hit the pattern I mentioned earlier, but the first 2 beats of each group are silent and the tutorial voice comes in to count from 3 to 7.

that's how it feels for any song you first heard in rhythm doctor, hear it without all the claps, beats, kicks, and audio cues and the song just sounds a whole lot different.

Still can't get the hold notes right and a few of the patterns are confusing. But rn I'm just waiting for the song to come out in the source game.

As someone who has never heard of Rhythm Doctor, seeing all the comments on how that version was better I figured I'd give it a listen.
Unbiased opinion, I did not like the Rhythm Doctor version at all. It's like preferring an OSU! Version of a song with its snaps overtop of the track. It felt very intrusive and distracting.
Biased opinion, Rhythm Doctor has more bass, and I love bass.
@@normi1504 I enjoy bass as well. But the Rhythm Doctor version is messy. It being layered over the original just creates a clusterfuck of beats that don't compliment each other at all. It sounds terrible. Almost like the original and Rhythm Doctor Beats are fighting for dominance.
I create music in my free time, and while it looks fun to play. It is awful to just sit and listen to. Gameplay was the focus over making a song and then adding beat mapping to the song.
@@bobthebromosapien7496 well, when you've spent a week trying to play that song with the beats, and you haven't heard the original, they kinda get burned into your brain to the point where you expect them, even when they aren't there. It's a thing with most songs in Rhythm games
