Yeah I think Solar wasn't expecting that split, he just engaged as if all of the Thors were at the left, between the neurals and the broodling he had those quite controlled, but the ones to the south went for a trip on those broods.
This was the first time it really hit me how much range thors have. After seeing them barely able to dance out of broodling range, struggling to get hits in once the hellbats fall, that battle at the end really showed just how insane their anti-air range is when they're actually able to use it.
This is why I target factories harder than command centers. I'd rather deal with a terran player that has ghosts, air, and a better economy than me than deal with thor spam.
I feel like squeezing in a +1 air weapons and better control to keep some of those battlecruisers alive would have really snowballed Gumi into the middlegame.
Would be insane to pull off logistically but I would love to see a game where every unit produced had a real individual human controller for only that unit.
This is why I love watching A or even B tier pros duke it out on big tournaments. They just have so much variety in their games. S tier games are just too rigid and calculated, most of the times it’s just too formulaic for experienced audience like me. It’s just sad that the SC scene took a big hit this year. It leaves no room for player like Gumiho on big stage anymore. Also with pros starts to think about career transition, i think we will start to see S tier pros getting sloppy as well. So sad.

PC usually has overheated and shut down by then.
Do not, DO NOT, allow Thors to get a good position on massive air units. They will delete them. At 14 Thors, I think, even battlecruisers that open up with yamato cannon lose, because that's the threshold when Thors oneshot them. The only massive air that beats Thor is brood lords, if they get a perfect position and group up well, or Tempests, when they're kiting. No one else stands a chance.
I honestly think battlecruiser opener is great, just every single time, and I mean every single time I see someone trying in a pro game, he also tends to lose half of his battlecruisers in an absolute dumb way
Repairs are more of an investment cost than it is resources lost. It's just like building a unit, except much better as you don't spend gas and the wait is much less.
Lowko! Be careful with cats on your pc! Not just the fur stopping air flow but if they static shock it they could accidentally fry your pc. One small shock is all it takes.
