What a practical way of teaching any materials that really stick! The three techniques described in this video, indeed, work as long as one remembers them. By the way, I came across that book, but never sat down to read it, so now I see what I've missed. Nevertheless, your visual explanation makes it stick better. What is interesting that I've been using a retrieval method for years without knowing that it is retrieval as I call it active recollection. For example, when I learnt Spanish I tried to recollect vocab some grammar rules as soon as I woke up and whatever surfaced at that moment was solidified in my memory, so I could that knowledge instantly later on. Also, I am into keeping a journal and especially after listening to podcast or watching documentaries or reading aa book I usually put down my reflections. I believe that reading without reflection equals eating without digestion. I don't know your name, but you are a gifted teacher and I am subscribing to your channel to learn more.

I am learning a language and have been battling against the methods used to teach people! The topic of 'how to learn' became my passion in order to find a way to learn this language. That’s a tough one as I read a lot of fiction. My favorite fiction would be lessons in chemistry. I would say my favorite nonfiction of the last year would be Jim Kwick Limitless. That is the book that got me started on memory practice. I also really enjoyed Learning to learn by Barbara Oakley, The year of yes by Chandra Rimes, Joyride,about biking from Alaska to Argentina by Kristin Jokinen… and so many more! I look forward to more of your book reviews. Thank you again for all you do I’m not a good sketcher, but I enjoy trying to copy your simple sketches.

Regarding the model you draw:
I would suggest that spacing in time is an example of variation: variation of time (scheduling).
So retrieval should be varied in scheduling and in other kinds.

The summary you explain in the video is very interesting and educational.
I want to know your opinion about the following idea of how to improve learning with the help of Artificial Intelligence.
The hypothesis is that learning can be improved by performing an Immediate Test (for example, a multiple response test) and, after obtaining the results of the test, consulting a Conversational Artificial Intelligence on those topics that failed in the Immediate Test.
The learning process is similar to scattering seeds on a field. Some seeds will be in the correct position and others will not. The person who is sowing may not notice those seeds that are not well sown (particularly if the field is large). Therefore, performing an immediate test can help quickly identify what is not well planted. Once you have identified the 'unlearned' topics, through a chat bot you will be able to find the section of knowledge that you needed to assimilate.
For reference, I live in South America and I am working on a personal project on how to apply Artificial Intelligence in the learning process.
