I can appreciate the first guy analyzing his financial situation and not wanting to put him and his girlfriend in a struggle love situation. She should stick with this man with a solid plan and support him getting his education. It will be beneficial for their future family in the end.
How it should be. This logical thinking will save them from a lot of drama, heartbreak & divorce.
That’s a big decision. Most women don’t want to have kids until they get married, if the man isn’t good financially it can cause the woman to have kids when she’s older which equal more complications so that’s why a lot of women want to get married in a certain time frame. We don’t know what kind of plans she has personally for her body, She’s not being unreasonable I don’t think either of them are. I just think that they both want different things right now & that’s okay

I actually disagree. One of the most successful relationships in my family was my aunt and uncle who have been married over 30 years. They didn’t have much when they married because they were young. They didn’t even have a wedding. Instead of a wedding they used all of their money to purchase a home together. They had nothing but love, hard work, and ambition. Now they own over 200 acres of land, have raised all of their children, and have financial freedom to travel and do all they want to do. They are extremely successful. I don’t think you have to have it “figured out.” The same way women put time lines on things, men put financial time lines on things and that’s unfair as well. I personally don’t care about spending money on a wedding. If I want to spend the rest of my life with then I care about the sacredness of marriage and not the WEDDING. I also will leave if my timeline has expired with a relationship. If you love someone you will want them to be happy and if your fear is more important than the desire to make your partner happy… I don’t want that either. I believe in a man WANTING to marry his lady and if he is finding every excuse (financial included) then just leave sis…
@@princesst1149 Unfortunately, this is a different time & the vast majority of individuals especially younger adults don’t have the same discipline or mentality. Most don’t want to do the work to remain together during adversity.
Jess, thank you for mentioning how women can put timelines and deadlines on things happening in their lives. I am so bad about doing that, always have been, and I always end up disappointing myself when I don’t hit those marks.
Same I got married at 19 still married after seven years. We have a six year old … we both want one more child but money is tight with me in school full time and him working full time . He just turned 30 and I’m 26 but I wanted all my babies by 30 and I don’t see it happening anymore

Speak for your community. From what ive seen it really depends. You'd be surprised how many people get out of jail and nobody cares. It all depends on who you are. Some families don't have any high school graduates so they might celebrate more than a family where everyone has a college degree. Besides, be forreal. Ladies, under no circumstances, put a deadline on when a man needs to marry you if you see that that man is building something if you really want the ring, make yourself and your relationship valuable enough for him to see getting married is going to be an asset to what I’m building for example, instead of you wanting to buy the big expensive house with a man that has never bought a house before. Encourage him to buy a starter home and help him to put then when it comes time to let him know, don’t want to sell that house for rent. Let the house be completely in his name and when you go to buy the bigger house, that’s where you start putting equity. In the reason you do this is One, the Reg from that house will help ease the financial burden of the new house and also help with the interest rate of the new house and also give that man security in knowing that should things not work out he still has a place to go and an income and if things work out and you guys pay that house off completely it’s a great revenue stream for the future. Either way that shows that you care about him and his future you’d be amazed at how far that goes in making the decision to marry someone.
