The biggest issue with this game was the fake A.I. Basically all cars outside the players view,aren’t actually there which is apparent on the inconsistencies in the lap times and the fact that you can't view other cars in the replay outside of the players proximity.
Im pretty sure u can only view the other AI onboards in F1 2015 F1 2011-2014 didn't have it but yes I do agree that the AI are ass. They clda just taken the AI from race driver grid a game they developed and released 2 year prior to F1 2010 and it wlda been so much better
I remember being so baffled by that until I read an explanation about the AI. I think I started my first season racing for Virgin trying to cling on to the back of the midfield in races, then once they dropped me a bit they started pulling 1-2 seconds a lap on me seemingly out of nowhere which just crushes your motivation to keep racing. I've noticed similar still happens occasionally to an extent in the current F1 games in Qualifying - if you're not on track at the end of the session so the session cuts out when the clock hits 0:00 and the AI are still completing their final laps, you can get some odd times pop up occasionally from the simulated laps. Not absurdly off, but definitely some anomalies versus their pace if you are on track with them during their final laps.
@@lnzob Agreed. Grid was so insanely ahead of it's time. It has one of the best damage models I have seen in a game to date, and it is fast approaching 20 years old. Which is crazy to think about.
F1 2010 was the first F1 game I played too. Great season and an awesome game. I still remeber that song at the start of the game "You got the fear or feeling" What a game!

YES! AGREE WITH F1 2015 the handling is way better than 2016 imo but the only unbearable F1 game for me is 2014 and F1 23 to some extent Im weirdo I prefer F1 22 over F1 23
