Nice to see Rosie amongst a host of M.G.M. stars.One of the best moments in the film. The only time this real-life 'Mr.and Mrs.' appeared on screen and sadly, Rosemary Clooney's last film.I love and adore her forever ; her voice touches me in a way no other can. Thanks.
David Allen, I agree. I cherish the opportunity I had to sing in a small jazz back up chorus with her on the last 2 songs in a concert in 1991. I had already seen her in concert a few times before, dating back to the early 80's, and she was always charming and gracious when I approached her after some concerts.
Interesting to see this. Reading here book at the moment and she was saying she thought he was an okay singer but Mitch Miller at Columbia thought he was awful - she said maybe love was deaf as well as blind, though he doesn't sound too bad here.

I heartily concur. I don't agree with Mitch that Jose was "awful". He was an OK singer. Not great but as you pointed out, not bad.

He was serviceable as a singe but sadly he wasn’t much of a husband to a woman who deserved far better. Especially when they had FIVE children!!
