Great content! I’m a former field service mechanic, and I to am a farmer, and I enjoy watching you guys tackle your own equipment problems. You all are pretty good mechanics!! Thank you for sharing. Luke. Oklahoma USA
As a retired Fitter & turner your show is very interesting to watch what you guys do actually tackle in the repair line, great job. This episode you said a fair few repairs needed attention, as my old grandfather used to say ( a retired farmer ) when you own any kind of machinery your hand is always in your pocket.
That john deere grader is high maintanance . One minute youve got the diff out , next time you've got the transmission out . Then having to adapt all the hydraulic hoses . Robbo must really love it .
Good job, gents! It’s nice to see the rebuilding all at once even though it took 2 months. I think the variety of a bit of Brad while Matt’s away keeps it interesting too!
Thanks for taking time out of your day to include us in your activities. You are fricken awesome mate. Us who strip fix and maintain our own machines are a dying breed.
Big respect to you Brad for taking this on . Probably only a couple of thousand things that could go wrong 😮😮. Looks like another victory for right to repair ❤❤❤
Good video Brad it was interesting and to see the skills you guys have to deal with even complex jobs like that transmission, hope that old Volvo serves you well now👍
Your Father must be pretty proud of you boys. Your using skills learned from a young age to repair pretty complicated equipment. This really reduces the cost of owning and using equipment. We do much the same here in the US. Doing this really makes a big difference to how you can weather bad times. I enjoy seeing how you do things differently when compared to here.
Great job Brad your teams knowledge of the workings of the machinery is a real financial saver for your business, years ago every farmer worked on his machinery but today with all the modern technology many farmers wouldn’t dare to touch the machinery for fear of damaging something and having more down time well done from Tassie
I can't help but be constantly amazed at the jobs you all take on. Strikes me that the jobs get done because you are all working as a team. It would be a much harder existence if you had no support from others on the farm. Well done on another informative vlog.
Well done Brad, that is certainly one very sophisticated piece of engineering in that transmission with the gears and cogs. You seemed pretty relaxed with it all, looks like stress city to me.
I'm never sure if you guys are a bunch of farmers who want to be mechanics or if you are a bunch of mechanics who want to be farmer. Great job either way..
Well Done Brad, and crew quite a bit going on inside if the transmission, I like your fix on the hydraulic lines, the OEM parts are some times cheeper than after market but I reckon it's fairly rare. Would have liked to see all the splitting of the gears and clutch packs i might have learnt some new words😂. Thanks for sharing, hope you're under the rain.
good to see Brad and Phil working with the camera. you blokes would be lost without Ozzie. Matt?? where is he when the technical things are getting done?
Good job the hoses. I have been splitting the referrals on the old hosed to reuse the inner with a new referral crimped on. Works well for all those odd hose ends. Just run the angle grinder down both sides and hit with a cold chisel to remove.
I don’t know how well farming pays in Australia but my guess is you guys would make more money setting up a repair shop 😂😂. I am always impressed at the complexity of some of the jobs you take on, yet you sent the challenger engine away for a rebuild? I know some farmers that struggle to very basic repairs and have to constantly call in the mechanics or dealership. It’s not easy to quantify but you must save $100k plus a year
Great to see that you have a decent machine shop … it’d save you megabucks If your machines aren’t working your not earning $$$ Love the videos…looking forward to the next one
Hi from France, Brad, mate, you're à legend.....i drive a petrol tanker over here,i'm having a hard time getting two bald tyres changed on the trailer by the "so called mechanics", i'm the only Aussie driver they have,i dont think they like me much, funny but when you're from Melbourne no-one likes you much,so listen, how about whizzing over here (it's just a hop, skip and a jump from Australia),you can bring some spanners (wrenches in American) hop on the old pneumatique pistolet (air gun) that they have in the atelier (workshop) and change them for me ? won't take but a jiffy,I'll buy you a coffee once your finished and Bob's your uncle. You might like to bring Matt along for moral support, but unfortunatly you'll have to share coffee..... I absolutly love your chanel.
You boys are dead set legends tackling that gearbox.....I'm amazed that Robbo..."the world's best dressed grader diver" isn't there supervising to get it done quicker so he can get the old girl going....

It’s amazing you can do all that Brad.
This is a great channel for learning things.
Thanks again for doing it.

The jobs you do never cease to amaze me and the skills you have between you all would put some machine shops to shame
Good job, gents! It’s nice to see the rebuilding all at once even though it took 2 months. I think the variety of a bit of Brad while Matt’s away keeps it interesting too!
Brad the man! I enjoyed watching the whole process and details with hoses and the like!

Good job, Brad great to see the transmission coming together!!
Hey Matt!! Tell Brad thanks for the update on the grader. I wouldn't be able to put that thing back together again. Keep up the great work!!

Great video, good insight into transmission repair. thanks.
Good morning from Texas, keep up the good work.
Brad actually makes it look like he knows what he's doing, Matt never does that.
I like to surprise people (Matt)
😂 Keep them guessing Matt
😂😂

good to see Brad and Phil working with the camera. you blokes would be lost without Ozzie. Matt?? where is he when the technical things are getting done?
He is definitely a big help when it gets technical👍😁
The workshop videos are my favourite, you've got great equipment and knowledge there 👏🏻
I failed mechanic school but still enjoy watching and learning how it all works, what was Matt doing while you were doing all the hard stuff.😂
Well done Brad and you actually worked while filming cheers mate
Great video Brad, look out Matt competition from Brad is gaining lol, Hope your holidays are going well 😄
You’re playing with big bikkies there glad to see you got it done hope it works when you’re done.Hope you have a good season. Cheers

thats one Heck of a chunk of iron !!! looks like a real finger smasher of a job
I've heard the clutch pack parts called frictions and steels
9:21 Did I see friction plate on friction plate go in???? Right when you were saying to get the order right?
I think so, but not positive
I think there was a steel plate in there, I just doubled checked the original footage, definitely suck if 2 were together😳
@@thejacksonbrothers yes it would, even worse if it got ran that way for awhile. I looked at it four different times and I really could not tell
Bloody good job men a bit of hard yakka bless you all cheers ❤️😀👍🦘🇦🇺
Out of curiosity, how much is farming d.i.y?
Also what trades did esch of you boys do?
Hi mate, most of it is diy, dad was a mechanic, Brad an engine reconditioner, Phil an electrician and I (Matt) an auto electrician👍😁
After the gears were put together 14:15, why was it wrapped up?
Just overnight so nothing gets dropped or wet👍😁

I'll bet you love the Chanel on the French ladies too.......
MORE PLEASE
That gearbox in the Deere grader has to be the worst nightmare for the marketing people at John Deere.
Trust deer to put some painful swivel on there hoses trying to make you pay their prices for parts.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🥃🥃🥃👀👀👀👀👍👍👍☕️☕️☕️🍻🍻🍻🍻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Brad, throw another bearing on the barby mate! Sorry couldn’t resist the Aussie stereotype.😊😊😊
😂😂
Any rain yet?
We have been getting a bit lately thankfully👍😁
You boys are dead set legends tackling that gearbox.....I'm amazed that Robbo..."the world's best dressed grader diver" isn't there supervising to get it done quicker so he can get the old girl going....
Those eaton STC fittings are the worst creation, talk about reinventing the wheel, why do they even exist
Who makes the adapter?
Yep they are a bit unnecessary, I’d have to check with Brad where he got the adapters👍😁
Fun memories from jd8000 tranny rebuilds, much the same with lifting jibs and those sealing rings that no1 can see when u put top cover on🫣🤣 ..
Not sure if your aloud to say “tranny tree” I got a warning the other day on Facebook for writing tranny fluid 😂
