  • I've had a number of lenses in this class (135mm FF) over that past few decades and they have always proved to be very useful for a broad range of my photography.
I've had the Fujifilm 90mm for quite a while now so I have a good feel for what the lens will produce. A couple of days ago I took it down to our local commercial fishing port to produce some images for this video and to discuss how I best like to utilize this lens.

I had the original Fuji 56mm f1.2 which I sold to downsize to the Fuji 50mm f2. I’ve done this with all my Fuji lenses, just f2 lenses now apart from my Voigtländer 27mm f2 and 18mm f2.8 which are recent acquisitions that I’m loving. The one lens which I can’t imagine ever selling is the Fuji 90mm f2. It’s the only relatively large lens I own now. The 56mm f1.2 is a lovely lens but in my opinion the 90mm f2 has something truly magical in its rendering. Add to that the ability to have some extra reach and compression and this has to be one of Fuji’s best ever lenses. Thanks for your thoughts. T.

Yes, this lens really doesn't get enough attention as it is one of their best primes.
