So happy those girls came forward to report his behavior. As tragic as it is for those officers to go through this, the world is probably better off without people like him around. Would've preyed on other children or hurt someone being reckless.

Who knows what this officer prevented!! That young guy was up to no good!!
#1. He went to a mall far away from where he lives, because he wanted to "find a different mall" to hang out at or whatever.
#2. He approached little girls. The cop said "children". It was more than obvious to the cop they were underage.
#3. He had liquor, and was intoxicated. A jar of weed. Maybe he was going to invite the girls to hang out and drink & smoke with him.
    #4. He had a gun.
All of that looks shady as f**k!!! This kid had evil in him. Instead of just running, he decided to shoot at a cop. Even if he succeeded in killing him, he would of been caught. They had already ran his name, plus the BWC footage, and CCTV footage all over the mall.

Lol calm down bro. Most cops go their entire career without firing their service weapon once. A trucker has a more dangerous job than a cop; in fact trucking ranks like third or something in occupational deaths - law enforcement doesn’t even make the top ten. I’m not saying to go kick cops in the balls every time you see them or something but to just blindly bow down to any cop is a silly notion.

When he said you’re free to go outside the mall that should’ve been the end of it. The bag was closed you asked to search him he said no. The correct thing to do would have been to take the bag from him when he was in the mall. Just my opinion.

There is a trend in this country right now to be accepting and tolerant of everyone, and although it sounds good on paper, not everyone has your best interests in mind. This kid could not figure out that even if he got away, they knew who he was and would come for him. He obviously had lived in a world up until then where there were no consequences for his actions.
