It's really pretty simple even if the Birkin bag I was gifted was 10 years old and still in very good condition. I would hold on to it for a few years to let the value increase. I would carry it for my University graduation and to my first few interviews and mixers until I've established myself in a good paying job. Then I would look up the value of my particular model and if it was over the initial sale price after being adjusted for inflation I was very seriously consider selling it. Especially if the resale price would be enough to buy a model that I liked more to keep for myself. And use the rest of the money to pay off my college debt. I've been careful in my University education to not require that much debt and flipping a single Birkin bag would more than pay off my University does. Of course the goal is always to be able to buy two for the price of the one you're selling. So I would use the money from the bag I sell to buy a new bag that I like more to keep as my signature item. Still be able to buy yet another one to hold onto for a few years and then resell it and repeat
I have a hermes hoodie that I bought a few years back, before that I wore mostly mall hoodies from like skater brands. The quality of everything is better in the hermes, the material, how it's woven and quality details that really make the difference. I wear it basically everyday and the wear and tear is way better than any hoodie I would have bought at the mall. No little holes, no falling apart around the wrists or bottom of the hoodie, no strings falling loose, everything is still stretchy. Yeah you can tell it's old, it's faded but it's not in too bad of shape. Most luxury shit is not worth it but from my experience but I think hermes is very good shit.

All the top brands like LV, Gucci, Chanel or Hermes have come up with something original and have been incredibly important in fashion for the past 150 years. 20 hrs is nothing. I 've worked on a bag that took at least 80hrs to make. Some sections had 4 layers of leathers , using 3 different types of leathers, all hand stitched. Some even needed a pre stitch to get the parts aligned properly before the main assembly. It was gruesome.

I’m a Huge handbag collector . These bags hardware are NOT solid gold or Solid palladium.! Theyr only Plated with gold or palladium. I wish they were solid gold/Solid palladium. You could probably have one customized with solid precious metals. But standard issue will Never have solid precious metal hardware..! They would have to use a very low Gold Karot. Gold is to pliable when it’s over 18kt solid. I prefer very vintage Hermès & Very vintage Chanel due to how much better/thicker the gold plating is and it’s actually 24kt plated. Chanel now only uses 10-14 kit on hardware since 2009.. the prices keep rising but the Quality keeps decreasing

Just one drop of another color and the skins are ruined. Years ago Himalayan never been this white at the center. The technology wasn’t there to create such white centers.

As long remember I chose *preluxz* ’s LADY DIOR as a gift because the stitching looked better and neater. The packaging is also very beautiful.

I can always get a full-grain leather bag made by a craftsman, it will cost around $500 to $1000, but it's so worth it.

I want a Hermes wallet, but I can't justify spending $1,600 for a simple leather wallet. I have a collection of Patek Philippes, but they are worth the money. Hermes just isn't that special. Leather is leather.
