サンリオのキャラクターながらサンリオピューロランド（東京都多摩市）への出入り禁止処分を受けていた「ぐでたま」が9月13日、処分仮解除を受けて同園で開催したイベント「ぐでたまのやるきのない？！イベント～踊ったりする？～（仮）」を成功させ、“出禁”処分が完全解除された。
ぐでたまは、2013年に誕生した、“ぐでぐでとやる気のない”たまごのキャラクター。今年の「サンリオキャラクター総選挙」では初参戦で7位に入り、ツイッターのフォロワー数は14万人超、LINEスタンプのダウンロード数も1位をキープ。朝の情報番組「あさチャン！」（TBS系）内でショートアニメも放送しされており、人気を集めている。ただ、同園では数々の違反行為を繰り返し、サンリオキャラながら出入り禁止処分を受けていた。
ピューロランド入り口でのグリーティングを頑張って処分仮解除にまでこぎつけたぐでたまだったが、この日のイベントでも開始直前まで「まじ無理だし～」「え～だりぃ～」とつぶやくやる気のなさ。それでも、本番ではアニメにも登場するキャラクター「ニセたまさん」とともにアニメの内容を再現してみせたり、集まった子供たちと一緒になって「ぐでたま体操」を披露するなどステージを盛り上げた。
イベントの成功を受け、同園の“偉い人”によって処分解除が決まると、ニセたまさんは「これからはちょくちょく来ます！」と大喜びだったが、ぐでたまは相変わらずやる気なく、台車に乗って会場から去っていった。「ぐでたまのやるきのない？！イベント～踊ったりする？～（仮）」は15日まで開催予定。期間中は園内のフードコートで、「ぐでらいす」（1200円）、「あんにんどうふメンタル2」（500円）も数量限定で販売している。
