In ep1 piyo is the one who miss his mama and urge to search her with gudetama, who couldn't even bother, thinking they must be siblings because they come from the same egg case
In ep 10, gudetama turns out come from a different chicken from piyo. While gudetama unexpectedly able to meet his mama, end up being eaten by chicken farmer granny, gudetama's mama hatched another gudetama again, the series end with piyo off to journey searching for his mama alone
So while it's true gudetama is the mc, piyo is the plot carrying the whole series. And he needs justice to reunited with his mama 🥺
Edit : i almost forgot to mention, that if piyo didn't got mix up along with other unfertilized eggs and hatched in that fridge, gudetama will not exist and the adventure won't happen at all 🐓
Yes we need a season 2! I saw the 1st season in the English dub and now I'm watching in the Japanese dub with the subtitles. Tbh the Japanese sounds a lot better

@@Sisters4life both gude and piyo's seiyuu truly is the crop of the cream of this series. Although i do have my concern with piyo's seiyuu since irl she's just a 10 y.o girl, her voice could have more possibility to be inconsistent, unlike the already adult, gude's seiyuu.
That's why I wish season 2 would come to us quickly 🐥

1:27 Oh gosh, when this part of the clip played on Netflix, I burst out in tears, even more so became a sobbing baby when the chef threw Shakipiyo in that box with the broken egg shells. I found out almost 3 years ago that I was adopted, and then last year, I lost my adoptive mother from a heart attack. She will always be my mother, she never ever made me feel like I was adopted. I miss her so much. This clip just made me so emotional ... I miss my mom.

Man I was so looking forward to this and I thought after seeing the whole show my fav charecter would be Gudetama, and man I was dead wrong. Shakipiyo became my fav by far, like don't get me wrong I love gudetama too, but I got so emotionally connected to shakipiyo so quickly, and felt for him throughout the show. Netflix please make season 2, we really like REALLY need it.

I really loved the series, except for the final episode. I got pissed when piyo didn't get to see his mommy. Bro saved gudetama several times, encouraged him to meet "their" mommy, and always stood him by his side even though he had the choice to leave gudetama and continued his quest alone, and this is how Netflix repays him? Pathetic.
Also, seeing piyo cry really shattered my heart
